Author's note: God, things are getting hectic irl.....even though my reads are at two, thank you so much for reading it.
Minasei
Unpacking is hell in itself, but when your stupid PTSD decides to make an entrance, you start to question whether Hades can even compete.
I may not remember much of my past, but the house had many little corners, little furniture which awakened parts of my childhood that I hadn't dared go back, the memories that made a child's life truly wonderful but simultaneously brought out those painful feelings that I've forced into a corner of my mind....feelings I never want to experience.
I was in the kitchen, putting away the dishes, (my dear Aunt had actually made someone clean the house, but the dishes were still placed outside it's respective cabinets and that irked me for some reason) when I heard giggling of a child.
'Baby stop running over the house, you're gonna fall" a 4 year old with gap toothed smile toddles through the new wooden boards, his little shoes squeaking as they did, A tall, beautiful women with flowers black hair runs behind him and pulls him up from behind, the child squeals with delight and her laugh fills the room as they spin around....
"You're a cheeky one, aren't you?" She says playfully as the child pats her cheek. You can tell through his eyes that he's fascinated at the way her eyes are looking at him, brimming with unconditional love...
Crash!
I have to blink my eyes once, then twice to pull myself from the hallucination, the memory. A suspicious heat was building in the back of my eyes as I looked down to analyze the mess. Of course, I dropped a ceramic plate. Good thing my mum wasn't here now...
As I went throught he unpacking, the sudden memories died down, and the ache in my chest became harder to dull each time I remembered my mum's smile or my dad's laugh.
How do people so..young ..so full of life, suddenly just, die?
I shook away the childish, pointless question and moved on, like always.
Akira Tatsushima
I see alot of deranged shit on my social media, like really, you don't want to know, but never once did I think that I'd be laughing like a mad woman at 10 in the morning, going through the freaking school letter on my phone.
SCANDALOUS NEW VICE PRINCIPAL - ARE OUR GIRLS SAFE?
Was the heading, and attached to it was a picture of a man with his back turned to the camera, pinning a censored woman to the stair case. Sure, the man looked a lot like Minasei, but I don't think people are idiots to believe that Mr. Ray, the guy who'd actually stood up for a little girl on his FIRST hour, actually assault a woman at school the very next day.
Guess I was wrong. People are idiots..
'I guess you saw it then,' Ilona shot her grin at me as she sprinted over. I wioed away a tear from my eyes as I nodded. She shook her ehad on my shaking shoulders and peered at my phone.
'It's framed. Probably by that idiot Brias.' She groaned out.'No shit.' I agreed. ' He probably went crying to his daddy or something..'
We snickered at the thought, which probably was true. Powerful people in small towns have even smaller minds... and Brias Mclaren's father has one of the smallest minds you could find on this side of Southern California. But he's also the vice principal of our college (theough nepotism mostly), so what he wanted, he got it.
'I honestly bad for the city boy...' I told Ilona, who raised an eyebrow. I shoved her side.'Oh, you know what I mean, it's just his second day in our lovely little town, and he's already framed for assault.'
Ilona merely hums in response, and I roll my eyes. To the third person, Ilona Kaine is the hot tempered / air headed jock who only knows how to play a good game of basketball, but you'd be surprised to find the romance book girlie underneath And that romance girlie has been trying to pair me up with the first decently grown boy she sees since she knew what a sick was.
We talk about about other things for a while - liekhiw we should start a revolution against the the repressive customs of school or patriarchal society and school-you know, the way girls do before so,ething even more interesting crosses our path.
'I need to get out of this mess as soon as possible, Mr. Anderson' a familair posh accent almost commands to very shaky Oliver.
'B-but sir..' He squeaks from his notepad.
'And get me the best officer in your county, and if possible a detective,' this time, he was definitely ordering, almost like a military Sergent.
'I don't care how much they want. Just get him here.' he snaps when Oliver doesn't stop squirming. Before I could process all of it-like why Mr Ray and Oliver (he school's most lovable boy who hasn't even had his growth spurt yet) were together and why they were talking under a tree where everyone can see? And how was he wearing a pinstrip suit in the California heat and not breaking a sweat?- Ilona pushed past me and put herself between the two of them, her eyes flaring.
Oh boy.
'Listne here mister,' he half snarls, half shouts at Minasei, stabbing a finger in his chest, 'You may eb a city boy, with your ass being fed nepotism every damn day, but you can't, under any circumstances threathen Oliver.Got that?'
She's an idiot....
Minasei seems to notice that, too.
The asshole smirks, a vein in his forehead throbbing alarmingly as he sizes her up. 'Or you'll do what, Ms.kaine...'
'Oh, I'd love to do a lot of things. Mr. Ray..' she whispers back, her eyes sparking with a violent glint.
'Oookkay,' I step in. It almost feels like we're playing some stupid game now. 'That's enough. As much as I'd love to see Ilona beat your asss...or it could be the other way around,' I shoot a glare at her, she snorts. 'I think you and your lovely, loyal assistant have more than enough on your plate.'
I hold Minaseis's eyes for a long moment, then two before the violence seemingly fades a little, and the vein on his forhead stops throbbing like it's on the verge of exploding.
He clears his throat and steps back, adjusting the labels of his suit in that annoying posh way of his.
'You're right, Ms. Tatsushima, I give my sincerest apo 'apologies...' He bends down to my ear and whisper,'But you better control that friend of yours.'
He straightens and gives me a curt nod before striding off, pride radiating off him in such strong waves that it brings many passer bys to a stop.
'What an Arse.' Ilona voices my thoughts perfectly..
'You think he'll find the hell he needs...?' I ask, slowly turning to her.
'Nah.. I don't think anyone can pull him out of his ass..' she chuckles.
'I mean the about the charges Ilona.' I scratch a smile as I watch her tie her laces.
She shrugs as she stands back up, eyeing me. I cock an eyebrow at her.
'You plan on helping him in the case, huh?' She smirks, 'such a kind heart'
She ruffles my hair, but I swat her hand away, 'If he looks into it well enough, he will come to us soon anyway...''That's true...'
Who knows, this could be fun.
