Red stood at the edge of the pier, the salty breeze tugging at her hair as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the sky in hues of pink and orange. She'd heard rumors—a pirate ship has docked at Auradon's harbor, and abroad it was someone she never knew existed. A brother. Harry Hook. He was coming back from his trip with the new royal family of Auradon.Red wasn't sure how to feel. She had spent her whole life feeling like an outcast, never quite fitting in with her royal lineage, but this . . . this was different. Discovering she had a brother, someone who shared her blood but had grown up in an entirely different world, was something she could barely wrap her mind around.
Before she called his name out, A purple haired and blue haired girls got out of the ship first, following behind a blonde boy, It seemed like it was the queen and the king of Auradon, followed by the evil queens daughter, Harry had walked off the ship, but before Red said anything, a blonde girl with light pink and blue highlights, had came off the ship, Harry had seemed to be holding her hand, leading her down the railing carefully, he kissed her hand, and it said he will see her later.
"Harry?" she called out, her voice trembling slightly despite herself.
The figure straightened, turning to face her fully. A grin spread across his face, one that was equal parts charming and dangerous.
"Aye, that's me," he replied, his voice carrying that unmistakable Isle accent. "And who might ye be, lass?"
Red hesitated for a moment, taking in the sight of him. He was nothing like she expected—this was no prince, no polished royal. He was a pirate through and through, rough around the edges with a wilderness in his eyes that was both alluring and intimidating.
"I'm Red," she finally said, her voice stronger now. "Your sister."
Harry's grin faltered, and for a moment, the playful glint in his eyes dimmed. He took a step closer, his gaze searching hers as if trying to find the truth in her words.
"Me sister, ye say?" he murmured, his voice low. "Can't say I've ever heard of ye."
Red's heart sank a little at that. She had hoped . . . she didn't know what she had hoped for, but it wasn't this. Still, she squared her shoulders and held his gaze.
"It's a long story," she said, trying to keep the hurt out of her voice. "One I'm sure we'll have time to share."
Harry nodded slowly, as if processing the idea of having a sister he never knew existed. He looked her up and down, taking in her appearance—so different from the pirates and villains he was used to, yet there was something in her eyes that he recognized. A fire, a stubbornness. It was like looking in a mirror.
"Aye, well, ye've got the look of a fighter," he said finally, a hint of approval in his tone. "That's good. Ye'll need it."
Red couldn't help but smile a little at that. "Guess it runs in the family."
Harry chuckled, the sound deep and genuine, and for the first time since they met, Red felt a connection to him—a thread of understanding that linked them despite the years and miles that had separated them.
As they stood there, sizing each other up, the sound of footsteps on the dock drew their attention. Red turned to see Bridget approaching, her usually composed expression tinged with something softer, something almost vulnerable. It was rare to see her like this.
Harry's demeanor shifted instantly. His playful smirk vanished, replaced by a guarded, almost pained look. It was clear that the sight of Bridget stirred something deep within him, something he wasn't quite ready to face.
