The next morning ~

I woke up feeling refreshed and a little embarrassed about my pillow-hugging escapade. But as I sat up in bed, I couldn't shake off the feeling that lingered inside me.

I quickly got dressed and ready for the day, my mind still preoccupied with thoughts of him. I grabbed my bag and phone, and sent a hasty text to Lara: "Hey, leaving for class now!" I didn't wait for a response, just shoved my phone into my pocket and headed out the room.

I came downstairs, expecting to see my brother, but he had already left for the college. I bid goodbye to my parents and stepped out of the house, taking a deep breath of the fresh morning air.

But as I looked around, I noticed something odd-my brother's car was gone. I thought to myself, "He must have taken his car to college today". It was a small thing, but it felt strange not seeing his familiar vehicle parked outside.

I arrived at college, met up with Julie, and we headed to class together. As I waited for Lara, I scanned the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of my brother or maybe Atlas. Finally, Lara arrived, we took our seats, I felt a pang of disappointment for not seeing him, but tried to focus on the lecture instead.

As classes are over, Lara and I walked out together, and I couldn't help but scan the area for Atlas, but he was nowhere to be found.

Just as I was scanning the crowd for Atlas, I heard my name being called from behind. I turned around to see Ethan standing there, a curious expression on his face. "Were you looking for Nick?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took in my searching gaze.

I thought about Atlas and I agreed that I was looking for Nick, and asked Ethan if he knew where he was. Ethan replied that "They're at the basketball court, practicing for the finals next week". I raised an eyebrow, curious, and asked him, "Why aren't you with them, then? why are you not practicing?". Ethan said "I've got an ache in my elbow, so I can't play this time". I felt sorry for him.

Lara's face lit up with excitement as she grabbed his arm and said, "Oh, that's okay! Take us to the court anyway! We want to watch the others practice". It was clear that Lara was excited because of Nick, and I had to admit that I was thrilled at the prospect of seeing Atlas too.

Ethan turned to me with a smile to ask, "will you come, Amy?", I agreed. Then, he nodded towards the court and said, "Let's go, I'll take you guys there". I left my car parked and hopped into Ethan's instead, joining Lara in the backseat.

As we pulled out of the parking lot, Ethan glanced in the rearview mirror and smiled, and the three of us chatted excitedly as we drove towards the basketball court. We arrived at the court; I couldn't help but revel in the crisp, cool breeze of the evening air.

As we entered, I couldn't help but notice the cluster of girls seated on the sidelines, their eyes fixed on the court with a mix of admiration and adoration for the charming handsome players.

Ethan led us to the front row, where Lara and I took our seats together. But instead of sitting on the other side of Lara, Ethan surprised me by slipping into the seat beside me, his shoulder brushing against mine as he grinned at me.

Then, I turned my attention to the court, where the atmosphere was electric and the players were absolutely on fire- both in terms of their skills and their undeniable charm.

I scanned the court and spotted Nick, his athletic build and charming smile standing out even from the distance.

I nudged Lara and discreetly pointed Nick, and her eyes widened as she took in the sight of him - her admiration for him written all over her face.
