𝟎𝟏𝟎| 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞'𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬

Ellie sat in the hospital as max sat next to her bed. He knew all that he had dine and he knew how it wasn't easy but he one thing. He loved Ellie more than anything. She had changed his life in a good way and he wasn't always the best father to her lately but he knew that he was a good father and he knew how his daughter had ended up on the edge of the roof and how all that he wanted to do was look after her

Ellie looked to see max as he sat next to her bed and looked to him "I'm sorry daddy" she said as max looked to her

"What are you sorry for princess?" He asked as she looked to him

"I let you down I'm sorry" she said as he grabbed her hand and smiled

"You did not let me down okay. Your not well that's all your going to get better okay. You have been through a lot with me and your mum and I know I put you in the middle of it but I just want you to get better. So does your mum" max said

"I don't want to see her. I can't see her ids too much" she said as he looked to her and nodded

"She is worried over you. She doesn't blame you for any of this. She just wants you to get better" he said as she looked to him and smiled

"I can't see her not yet please dad. I know what they all will be saying at school I'm not crazy I just feel big myself" she said as he placed a hand on her cheek and looked to her

"You're not crazy I know it. We're going to get all the help that you need oaky" he said as she nodded

Sophie got to work. She knew how things were a mess. She knew how she wanted to be there for her little girl and she knew how she wanted to help her through what she was going through and she hated it. She knew that she wanted to be there for her daughter

"Hey Soph how is Ellie" he asked as she looked to him and sighed

"I don't know she is refusing to see me. I am her mum and I just want to get her better but she'll only see max. I'm so worried over her" she said as Tom looked to her and smiled

"I know it's a lot and how it is a lot to get your head over but one thing I know id that your a great mum. Ellie needs time. She'll see you when she is ready she'll be okay" he said as Sophie looked to him and smiled.

Sophie hoped that she was right. She knew how bad was there did her and she knew how max wasn't the best dad but he'd been there for her lately and she was grateful for him being there as she didn't want Ellie to be alone and she was worried over Ellie and what she was going through. All that she knew was that things weren't easy and she knew that she just wanted for Ellie to be better

"It's all going to be okay. You have nothing to worry over" Tom said as Sophie looked to him and smiled

Max stood in the hallway and looked to see the doctor as he walked over to him

"What's the diagnosis? can I take her home?" Max asked. He knew that he was worried over Ellie

"I'm afraid not mr Tyler. I have Eleanor in to speak to a psychiatrist this afternoon I am worried over her symptoms" he said as max frowned

"Ellie. She's called Ellie. What are you thinking. I know you can't diagnose her yet but I know that you are thinking something" max said

"Does mental health run in your family or Ellie's mum family"

"Why do you ask?"

"I am pretty sure Ellie has bipolar" he said as max frowned. He felt sick knowing that his daughter was going through that

"My mum had it. She killed herself when I was eleven" max said

"Your daughter is going to need all the support that she needs" the doctor said

"Her mother has it too" max said

"I know Ellie doesn't want her here but it's best that she's here. So you can support her together" the doctor said as he walked off as max grabbed his phone as he rang Sophie

"Soph. You need to be hear it's Ellie. They think she has bipolar I don't know how to handle it" max said. He knew how it bright back so many memories of his mum and what he had seen as a boy and he feared over how much he wanted to run but he couldn't do that to his daughter

Sophie stood outside of Ellie's room as she lay asleep as she turned to face max and sighed

"Bipolar are they sure I mean I have it I should of seen the signs if know if my daughter had it" she said

"So would I Sophie but we have had our own issues lately and we haven't been the best parents to her lately and we haven't seen how she is struggling. It makes sense Ellie has this and we know it" he said as she looked to him and sighed

"I never wanted to add this onto her"

"Who said it was you. My mum had it too" he said as she frowned

"You never told Me"

"It's not something I like to talk over. Despite how things are with you and me and what I did and us loosing the baby. Ellie needs to come first and getting her home is important" max said as she looked to him and nodded

Sophie knew how max was right but could they find a way to be civil and work on Ellie's recovering together?
