Ellie sat in her room and sighed. She could hear her parents as they argued downstairs and she hated it. She hated how her family had turned into this. She knew how they were not a family anymore and she knew what a mess it was and she hated it

Ellie knew that she couldn't bear to sit around and listen to the arguing. She knew that her mum deserved better than how her dad treated her. She knew how max was never there and she knew that Sophie was spending night crying over max and how he was treating her and she knew how none of it was fair to her

Ellie sighed as she walked to her bedroom window and climbed out. She knew that she couldn't stay there for much longer. She knew that she had to get out of the house and how it was too much

Ellie stood texting Lauren as she walked through the streets. She mines that it was late at night and she didn't know what to do. She went to the chippy and got herself something to eat as she walked out and saw Tom and smiled

"Evening sir" she said

"Ellie it's a little late to be out do your parents know that you are out here" he asked as she looked to him and shrugged

"No idea they were arguing so i sneaked out" she said as he smirked to her

"Of course you did. Come on I'll drive you home" he said

"I don't want to go home you have no idea how bad it is there" she said as he looked to her and smiled

"What are you going to do sleep on the park benches" he asked as she looked to him and shrugged

"If I have too. I an fine sir" she said as she went to walk off

"Wait why don't I take you to your grans or something I can't leave you out here I care about you and if something happened to you I wouldn't forgive myself" Tom said as Ellie liked to him and nodded

"Okay" she said. He looked to her and frowned. He could tell that she wasn't herself and he did care over Ellie and he was worried over her

Ellie sat in Rachel's kitchen as Rachel handed her some breakfast "you know that you are welcome here anytime that you any. You're my granddaughter. It's nice that mr clarkson brought you here"

"I san into him in town he wouldn't leave without taking me somewhere I just couldn't be in the house. Mum is going to kill him" Ellie said as she ran a hand through her hair as Rachel smiled

"I called her she knows where you are and that you are safe. Was she arguing with your dad again?" Rachel asked as Ellie nodded

"He's a cunt" Ellie said. Ellie looked as the door opened and Sophie walked in

Ellie looked as she walked into the room

"Are you mad at me?" Ellie asked as Sophie pulled her close

"I'm glad that you're safe. I wish that you told me"

"You were yelling I didn't want to come between that. I just had to get out of there" Ellie said as Sophie sighed. She hadn't realised just how things were effecting Ellie when she was worried

"It's going to be okay I promise" Sophie said knowing she and max needed to do better for the sake of their daughter

Ellie walked into the cooler and sat down. She looked to see Tom as he sat there

"I think that this is a new record of yours Ellie ten minutes into the school day" Tom said

"Yeah well budgen is an old git who needs to get with the times" Ellie said as Tom looked to her and smiled

"Are you okay" he asked as he walked over and sat at the side of her desk as she looked to him and sighed

"Honestly sir I don't even know" she said as Tom looked to her and smiled

"I know how you have things for you and I know how you are struggling you are acting out, your getting in fights and your grades have dropped you are good person Ellie and whatever is going on at home you can't let it effect you here" Tom said as the two of them held a look as she smiled

"Why do you care I'm just another student" she said

"I care about you Ellie and you're not just another student. Your special" Tom said as the two of them held a look

Ellie got home. She saw how maxs car was there and knew how he was there "dad. Are you here?" She called as she heard the shower running. She walked into the kitchen and saw his briefcase that sat in the side as she looked through it

She saw his phone and saw it had a pin and put in her birthday and unlocked it. She searched through the messages and frowned to see messages with other woman. With someone called Helen. Ellie felt sick as she used her phone to take photos of them.

She heard the water stopping running upstairs and cursed to herself as she placed everything back to home it was as she sat at the kitchen table as max walked into the room a few minutes later

"What are you doing here?" He asked as she looked to him and rolled her eyes

"I live here" she said

"That's not what I meant Eleanor"

"Why are you here so early and why are you faking a shower so early in the day" Ellie said as she turned to face him

"I don't have to answer to you I am the parent"

"When it suits you. Who's Helen" she asked as he frowned

"You went through my phone how dare you"

"Do not play the victim here not when you have been cheating on my mum and acting vile to her. You tell her if I will" Ellie spat as she asked off knowing just how her family was about to fall apart
