**The Haldi Ceremony**
The morning sun bathed the garden in a golden glow, making the marigold and jasmine garlands strung along the edges of the space appear even more vibrant. The haldi ceremony was set to begin shortly, and the entire area buzzed with excitement. Siya had just finished dressing in a pastel yellow sharara that fluttered softly as she made her way downstairs, the gentle rustle echoing with each step.
As she approached the garden, her grandfather crossed paths with her. His stern gaze bore into her, his expression serious. "Apne gharwalo ki izzat ka thoda khayal karo aur leheze se raho," he said firmly, his voice edged with disapproval. "Kisi gair insaan ke saath is tarah dance karti hui acchi lagti ho kya tum?"
The sharpness of his words cut deep, but Siya bit back her retort, choosing to nod in silence. She continued walking, fists clenched at her sides, trying to shake off the sting of his reprimand. *It's okay,* she told herself, releasing the tension in her hands with a frustrated sigh.
The garden was a sight to behold, with vibrant yellow and orange flowers complementing the lush greenery. The scent of fresh roses and marigolds filled the air, adding to the festive atmosphere. Kartik and Dev were already seated on the stage, grinning as they awaited their turn to be covered in turmeric paste.
Guests had gathered, the women dressed in colorful sarees, their laughter mingling with the upbeat music that played softly in the background. Kirti's sudden hug from behind startled Siya.
"Finally You're here! I was getting bored alone," Siya said, her voice filled with relief. "Don't tell me you're just here for today?"
Kirti laughed, shaking her head. "I'm here for the whole wedding! Bhaiya invited me specially, so there's no escape."
Siya smiled, feeling lighter with Kirti's presence. "Good! Let's go, the haldi ceremony is about to start."
Together, they made their way to the stage, where Kartik and Dev were all smiles as the women around them began applying the turmeric paste, their laughter echoing through the garden. Kirti greeted Sudha warmly, earning a playful scolding for missing the engagement.
