It always amazed me how you could pull lines over a map of a city, able to find the long streets going on and on.I stood walking between the crowd, waiting until my feet finally found the school I was heading to. I was new to the area, I had only started that school about a week ago. Today so far was nothing special, unless you counted the dog I petted along the way.
Looking through the window next to me, I found a tv playing the news. I slowed walking, listening to the soft buzz through the window.
"...Sighted near Kamino. We have multiple witnesses saying it was him."I frowned at the picture of the villain. Was the villain here? I looked around. What if he was in the same crowd as me— very unlikely.
Someone else stopped to listen to the tv and slowly a crowd appeared.I sighed and continued walking. I had heard enough as I texted my parents, telling them to look at the news.
Of course it had to be now! Just when I'm in town! Not that I had anything against the villain... not in that way— wait— he kills people and that's wrong, but I don't have anything against him... personally. Yes, that's a way to say it!
At school I found people talking about it. The teacher seemed decently annoyed at the news, but she didn't talk about it much. Instead we talked about 'our wonderful futures'.
"I'm sure you all want to become a hero," the teacher said, "But still it's good to consider other options, just in case."
Just in case you had a weak ass quirk like me yay! I mean, I could shrink myself. The most useless quirk, I'd say.
We all got a slip of paper and I filled it in quickly. I already knew I wanted to make music, and if that didn't work out I wanted to try fashion design, or maybe I wanted to do something with tv shows. Really, there was so much more than being a hero.
At home I walked up the stairs to my apartment. I sat down to quickly make my homework and then fell down on my bed.
"Dinner!"
"Coming!" I called back.
My brother came from his own room and we raced to the kitchen table.
"First!" My brother said after he had shoved me against the wall.
"You're right, you are first," I said and my brother nodded, "and a dick."
"Language," my father chuckled.
"I'm not a dick," my brother said, "Your room is closer to the kitchen."
"That doesn't excuse violence, brother." I said sassily.
"Tsukiko," my mother sighed and sat down, serving everyone some food, "What have I told you about—"
"I didn't hit her," Tsukiko rolled his eyes, "She's just being dramatic."
"Thanks for noticing my talents," I muttered half heartedly before we all started eating.
"Thanks for the food!"

Just one damn normal, calming thing, once!
And then fifteen people died.
Me, a villain, had been on my way to get some tea at a place I got recommended.
There's nothing illegal or wrong with that!
Of course I knew that my name had been on the news a few times by now. The few stunts I had pulled... and I mean, Nezu hated me, but yeah, I knew I couldn't just waltz into some tea shop, looking just like my beautiful self.
