I didn't know what to expect, but knowing someone who could jump over two people was gonna train me was a pretty cool fact.
Not too excited though, because I knew I'd have to do stuff my body probably wasn't up to.
Sure, I had gotten better at running, running from heroes specifically, but I wasn't strong or anything.

Midnight (not the hero) came and we stood in an abandoned building. I wondered how many random buildings like these existed, but considering collateral damage... yeah, it made more sense.

The hero killer came and immediately pushed a sword in my hands.

"Let's start easy," he said before he started to try to teach me techniques. Deku sat down and watched only to get told off by the hero killer. One second later Deku was running laps and I tried not to laugh at him.

At a late hour the hero killer took the knife back and I felt kinda dead with how tired I was.

"Thank you," I said just before he left. "A lot, for teaching me."

The hero killer sighed, "Make sure to train your bodies so you can get stronger."

I nodded and smiled politely.

The hero killer left and Deku hit me on my head.

"You can drop the act, he's gone!"

"Wha— come on! He totally thinks we're just looking up at him!!"

Deku sighed and pointed up. "Let's go to the rooftop."

"Why?"

"So we can look at the full moon."

The rooftop was quiet when we arrived. Deku walked to the edge and looked up. He pressed his lips together as though what he was seeing was disappointing.

I leaned on the ledge a bit as I looked down.
"It's pretty," I mumbled, pointed down at the streets.

Deku looked down and dropped his annoyed look.
We stood in silence until Deku was done.

Honestly, I didn't know why I went up in the first place with him, I mean, sure the city looked pretty from all the way up there but...

"Can I ask a weird question?" I looked up at Deku.

He shrugged. "Ask away."

"Well... why are we here really?" I looked up at the sky, "The moon is kinda boring. Just a big yellow-y circle."

Deku rubbed a hand across his face.
Suddenly he gave me a serious look.
"I like you," he said.

What?

"I like, like you. I don't even know what that means, I just know that I do."

What what?

I stared into his green eyes, wondering what to say.

Okay, let's gather the data.
Deku was a serial killer. He liked me in the romance kinda way.

We already knew that, but I still didn't know what the right thing was to say.
"I'm sorry..." I mumbled, "There's a million things I could say to that, but why me?"

"Why you?" Deku huffed, "Isn't that always the question?"

I realised how it sounded.
"Wait, not like, complaining— I mean—"

Deku suddenly laughed. I looked away at the sound, it was a normal laugh, it hid how fucked up he felt.
"You don't feel the same, do you?"

I looked at the ground.
"I'm sorry for that as well."
