Step one: Let them leave you home alone (not like they wanted to stay anyway). You earn your freedom, and they then get out. It's a win-win really, plus you get to improve your swordsmanship.

Step two: have a stranger break into your home mid-way through the night. Don't even ask... I'm too tired for this.

Step three: now this one is negotiable, hit them with a book preferably your copy of Deception Pointers and Strategies by Naomi Riversmith. Hurt them with knowledge am I right?

Step four: Listen to said figure... Let them out of your trap (more like stop threatening them with your sword) and have them fill your mind full of crazy ideas, that just might be crazy enough to get you onboard.

Now step five, you say? That's when you're truly a disappointment. You join said stranger on a mission to steal the royal family's ancient heirloom. The said family that caused the world to ascend into the chaos it rests in as of now—the world of ice.
