Ciara's POV

Inside was a little paper scroll.

I softly dug my finger inside the crack, trying to get that scroll out, when I heard my Mamas coming towards me.

So I quickly hid the rose behind my back and pretended like nothing happened, and quickly plastered a worried expression towards Mama D.

(A/N: idk why, but this innocent expression with the hands behind the back always works in books, lolll!!! Wish that real life could be like that, too!!!)

"Hey!!!" Mama D sighed. "Sorry... sorry for crying so much earlier." Mama D wiped her tears away. "It's just that... my mom..."

Mama C rubbed Mama D's back, comforting her.

"It's- it's OK!!!" Ciara rushed to say. "I completely understand!!! It's been almost a year, but I still haven't gotten over her death."

"Thanks." Mama D gave her a soft smile. "I love you, Cici."

"I love you too, Mama D!!! And you too, Mama C!!!"

But as suddenly, I got this feeling again.

As if I was dreaming and all of this wasn't real.

Why was I feeling like this?!?!?!

I started to panic inside, but on the outside, I still plastered that worried expression.

"Well... then, let's go home, Cici!" Mama C gave me a tired smile.

We went towards the car, and Mama C offered to drive.

3 hours later

"We're almost home!" Mama C laughed. "Can't believe that 3 hours went so fast!"

Finally, the car stopped, and I immediately took my bag and stepped out of the car.

Ah, the fresh air!

I had missed it sooooo much!

Mama D took out her keys and opened the door.

Mama D took out her keys and opened the door, "Home sweet home!!!"

But all I currently could think about was the secret paper scroll.

"Um... I will go fresh up!" I excused myself and went inside the bathroom.

I locked the door behind me and leaned against the door.

What was going on?!?!??!

All of this felt so unreal!!!

I didn't belong here!!

I opened the scroll with shaking hands.

It read:

Dear Cici,

I hope you are doing fine.

Please don't tell anyone that you found this scroll.

It's supposed to be secret.

I have found information that are highly qualified.

So, in case something happens to me, I don't want the information to be gone forever.

Anyways, I never wanted to bring you in danger, but I'm sorry.

I didn't have any other choice.

But, if you have this information, they will come after you.

They will come after you and never leave you alone.

You are always in danger!

Anyways, what I discovered was HUGE.

I discovered a secret city!!!

The city doesn't exist anymore, but it's citizens do.

Generations of families are still living in secret!!!

I don't know where the hidden city exactly is, but I do know that it is in the Amazonas Rainforest!

The city was called the Emerald cities!!!

I stumbled upon this information, when I was cleaning the family Villa, so that I could sell that huge house and live with you guys.

I then had to investigate this case, but I couldn't trust ANYONE.

And now, YOU can't trust anyone.

Not the government, not your friends, not even your Mamas!!!

Anyone could be part of them!!!

If you are reading this, then you are in danger.

So stay safe!!!

And never trust anyone!!!

I hid the scroll in my pocket and went outside the bathroom.

My Mamas were already in their room.

I went inside my room and stared outside the window.

I hadn't realized that it was night already!

I leaned against the edge of my bed and started thinking.

Grandma obviously had discovered a secret city.

And that it's citizens were still out there, hiding.

But who were "they"?

And why couldn't I trust anyone?

Ok, that was it, I had to sleep now!

It had been a long day.

So I closed my eyes and started counting sheep.

And, without realizing, I was fast asleep.
