***TW for mentions of bloody violence***
I didn't give Lucio any warning, I just fucking popped him in his lying face twice, my fist coming up a third time before he reacted. He'd become so used to people deferring to him as Head that he wasn't expecting me to come at him.
Unlike our other recent fight, I didn't hold back. This fucker had come into my house to back up his wife, allowing his fucking wife to prance out of my home with my wife and now that bitch had taken off with my sweet wife, exposing her to who the hell knew what that Costanza was wholly unprepared for. Janie might have discovered a trafficking ring and she might be fine with burying people alive, but Costanza was a complete innocent and I didn't want her to have anything to do with Lucio's termagant of a wife. I could only imagine what horrible things Janie was exposing Costanza to. It made me sick to think about it.
So I had a lot of aggression and fury that needed to come out, and if I had to beat the shit out of the Head of the Feroce Body to find out where in the fuck my wife was, I would happily do it. Never mind that this would probably cost me my life or at least a demotion back to a Body thug. I wouldn't care if I could find Costanza and get her away from that she-beast .
By now, Lucio had caught up to the fact that I'd thrown two fast punches at him and we were brutally pounding the hell out of each other. He'd grabbed me by the shirt and slammed me against the wall so hard a picture on the opposite wall fell, so I swept his feet out from him and followed him down to the floor, slamming my fist into his face until he threw me off and got in a few hits of his own.
"Stand down," he said to his guards who had come running when they heard the first crash.
We continued grappling and I'd fought hard in my life, but I felt like I'd never fought harder. My aim was to beat the shit out of Lucio and get my wife's whereabouts from him.
"Clash of the motherfucking titans," I heard someone mutter as they watched us, having no idea what was going on, just that the number one man and the number three man in the Body were going at each other in what appeared to be a fight to the death and Lucio didn't want anyone to interfere.
For half an hour, Lucio and I destroyed each other until I miscalculated and he got my arm behind me and one move would snap it.
"Done," I said quietly, and as he released my arm, the guys all started clapping.
Then, to save the situation, Lucio pointed at Luca. "I've been getting sick of fighting on the mats. It's not likely that we'll find ourselves fighting like that if we get into a situation. Today, I took on Nico in the kitchen. Tomorrow, you're taking me on in the dining room. Tommaso, you'll be in the living room the day after."
"Look forward to it, Lucio."
"Yes, sir. Happy to."
"Now everyone get the fuck out while Nico and I clean up."
He waited until everyone left. "What the fuck was that?"
"Where's my wife?" I bit out at him.
"She's wherever my wife is."
"You know where our wives are. There's no way you don't have her tracked."
While he'd been talking to Luca and the other men, I'd tried pulling up my wife's location. It showed she was in the house, which meant she'd left behind her phone, her rings and her necklace.
The look Lucio leveled at me was unfriendly, but I noticed he didn't deny or confirm anything.
"Maybe you're not worried about your wife -- she can shoot a gun, at least -- but Costanza's out there with no one to protect her but your wife."
