When my men texted me that my wife was almost home, before I could even ask, Santo told me to get the hell out.

"I'll finish this interrogation," he said, stepping up beside me. "Hand over the melon baller and get home to see your wife."

Speeding home, I pulled into the driveway and saw two cars heading toward me. The lead car was in the middle of the fucking driveway, closing in fast on me. Knew the car, knew the driver and everything in me wanted to not give way, but I'd sworn to protect the gorgon so I pulled off to the side because I didn't want to explain to Lucio why I had a head-on collision with his wife. Janie flipped me off as she passed by and I wondered, not for the first time, how in the fuck Lucio could stand being married to a woman who needed rabies shots.

I got a glimpse of my Costanza and rushed out of the car to get to her, but she just walked inside without a word to me. She's back, Nico. That has to count for something. She's back. She left because she was pissed at you, but she's back.

Once inside, I didn't have time to say much to my wife since Desti started running her mouth by implying that she and I were a thing to Costanza. After that, all I wanted to do was call a fucking locksmith or, better yet, permanently put an end to Desti and her interference. Stupid me for thinking the key I made her hand over the previous night before she left was the only one she had.

Without much chance to say anything to Costanza before Desti walked out of the kitchen and began running her fucking mouth, I had to set that bitch straight. And that's the last I was needed because Costanza was about to rip off her mask and show us who she was.

A fucking warrior queen.

What followed was the most incredible, jaw dropping twenty minutes of my life. Lucio had warned me my wife had skills, but hearing about it was one thing.

Seeing it?

Un-fucking-believable.

And when Costanza turned to me and ordered me not to interfere or she'd drop me on my ass? I thought that was hot, but that was child's play compared to what was coming. The way Costanza taunted her step-sister was astonishing, and the way my wife landed hit after hit on Desti  with such speed that my eyes could barely follow her moves was breathtaking.

Who was this woman I'd slept next to for five years? Gone was my sweet, innocent, in-need-of-protection Costanza and in her place was a sarcastic, fire-breathing dragon ninja.

Then came the finale.

As if my wife wasn't already the most perfect woman on earth, to discover she had these amazing skills made her even more remarkable to me. How does the very best woman get even better? Whoever said you can't improve on perfection had clearly never met my wife.

When Costanza pulled out her knives, I could hardly take in what I was seeing. She threw without hesitation, with precision and accuracy, pinning Desti to the wall. Costanza covered her eyes before throwing the last four knives, and I was awed by both the skill that took and the psychological effect it had on Desti.

Did she leave it there? No. Costanza wasn't done making her point. While holding a knife under Desti's jaw, Costanza pulled out each knife -- while never taking her eyes off Desti -- and threw a perfect C on the back wall.

C for Costanza, marking her territory, showing Desti why it was in her best interest to never come near us again. Then she told her step-sister to get out and threw one last knife at the front door, right by Desti's head.

Desti couldn't get out fast enough.

With one target gone, my wife's stormy gaze swung to me. I knew we needed to talk but I couldn't help blurting out how sexy and amazing what she had done was to me.
