Maaga akong nagising the next morning since Ate cannot stop pounding on my door like a psycho. It turns out, the resort serves food at a specific time at kailangan kong sumama sa kanilang kumain. She also laid out their plans for the day and it includes strolling around the city- which is definitely the activity I hate the most kapag hindi pa ako nakakapagpahinga ng maayos.
"Halika na nga. Samahan mo muna akong kumuha ng password ng WiFi nila rito. Si Kuya mo kasi eh, ang tamad." She said, rolling herself out of the bed.
I let my blower down to fix myself one last time sa harap ng mirror. I only chose to wear my plain black boxy shirt and some jorts. I don't typically wear this but since Cruz bought it for me last week lang, I decided to go with it to see what the hype is all about. Wala namang masama doon.
"Oh, eto na glasses mo. Baka malate pa tayo," she spoke again and handed me my dark-tinted rectangle glasses.
I couldn't breathe kapag wala 'yon sa tabi ko.
"Let's go," I muttered, slipping it on.
Naunang lumabas si Ate sa kuwarto ko while I made sure I pulled out everything sa saksakan. After doing that, I followed her out, locking the door behind me. My things are too precious, baka nakawin lang ng iba.
Ate and I began to walk through the rooms since mine's at the end. The common area is on the other end. Mas malapit lang doon ang room nila ni Kuya, but knowing him, masyadong tamad 'yon para samahan si Ate.
When we arrived naman at the common area, agad na dumapo ang mata ko sa mga kaibigan ni Miles. Umagang umaga and they're all sitting there, playing games and sharing some gossip na parang walang mga trabaho. Napahinto naman sila sa ginagawa nila noong nakita nila kami ni Ate.
"Andito pala kayo." Ate beamed, walking over to them.
She greeted the girls and guys as if she had known them her entire life. I shook my head and approached the furthest wall foundation to look for the written password of their WiFi. Miles told me about this kagabi.
"Looking for something?" Someone suddenly spoke next to me.
I turned to look at the owner of the voice, and I immediately felt my mood going downhill. She flashed me her cocky smirk, making me want to wipe it off of her face.
"No." I simply replied.
"Hmm. Sure you're not looking for the passwords?" She said, looking at me up and down. Pigilan niyo nga ako, sasapakin ko talaga 'to. "It's right there."
She pointed at where my left hand is resting. Hesitating, I took my hand away to see a sticker pasted on the railing. She chuckled next to me, as if saying that she found me clueless.
Balak ba niyang painitin ang ulo ko?
Because if that is her plan, she's doing great at it. Gusto ko na lang na sunugin ang buong pagkatao niya.
"Thanks, but I didn't need your help," I said while taking a snap of the passwords in case I'd need it next time.
"A simple thank you, Mikha Lim could've done it, Ace." She smirked, crossing her arms by her chest. "But I wasn't really expecting it, though. Who was I kidding? After all, you're still too good to accept any help from others, right?"
This time, I didn't hold back and glared at her. She didn't seem fazed, though. She still continued to stare at me with a ludicrous look.
"What do you want from me, Mikha Lim?" I spat, fully turning around to face her.
