     "Care to explain why you look like you just got banged, Avrielle?"

I rolled my eyes and moved away before Cruz could stand beside me. I was just peacefully minding my own business while watching them work on-site pero hindi pa rin niya ito papalagpasin. He really has the need to annoy me every single day.

"Oh, come on! Hindi araw araw na nakikita kitang may glasses!" He said, holding back his laugh as he followed me away.

"Hindi ba pwedeng masyadong mainit lang ngayon?" I returned. He didn't take that seriously and hummed sarcastically at me. "Bumalik ka na nga sa trabaho mo. I'm paying you to work here as my engineer, not as a nosy journalist."

Hindi pa rin niya ako tinantanan. He even laughed out loud, for Christ's sake! Pinagtinginan naman kami ng mga trabahador niya. He's really a fucking idiot, I'm telling you.

"Excuse me but I'm just scouting this one. Si Santi pa rin naman ang nagtratrabaho sa'yo." He said, stuffing his towel in my face.

I slapped his hand away from my face and glared at him. "And would you like your boss to suspend you again? Alam mo namang your bunso card doesn't work on her."

"You're changing the topic here, Avy-baby." He snickered, bumping his shoulder with mine. "So, ano ngang nangyare kagabi? Nakita kong may kasama ka palabas ng Solstice ah."

"None of your business, asshole." I spat.

"Alam mo, Ave, I was really really shocked." He said, stepping in front of me to stop me from walking completely. "It was your first time! Tell your best friend about it!"

I rolled my eyes, pushing him aside. "I'll make sure to tell Gavin."

"Come on, Avy, spill the tea."

I abruptly stopped in my tracks which made him stumble on the rock. He grinned at me like a clown, already sensing my defeat. Alam niya na kapag iinisin niya ako, I will give up.

"Yes, I slept with someone," I admitted. I sighed and threw my head back to show him the hickeys on my neck.

He hurriedly checked. Muntik naman akong matawa nang namilog ang mata niya sa nakikita niya. He was about to touch it but I slapped his hand away.

"I thought you hated the thought of picking up some randos in your bar just to have sex?" He asked brows furrowed in genuine confusion.

"She's hot." I answered. He gasped dramatically kaya napailing na lamang ako bago ako nagsimulang maglakad ulit. "Yes, it's a she. And aside from being hot, she's also a sweetheart."

Pinantayan naman ni Cruz ang lakad ko kaya kitang kita ko ang pagtingin niya sa akin na para bang nawala na ako sa tamang wisyo. He scanned me from head to toe before shaking his head.

"And?"

"We both agreed that this will not turn out to be one of those one-night stand things lang. We kind of clicked when we got to know each other during breakfast kanina, so, we decided that we should explore... whatever this is." I continued.

Cruz finally nodded in satisfaction. "That's nice. What's her name?" He asked. Ngayon, ako naman ang kumunot noo sa kaniya. "Hey, kahit kagaya mo lang ako na hindi social media person, I can still stalk her, you know."

For the nth time today, I rolled my eyes.

"The last thing I want is a creep like you to stalk her around," I said. He clapped his hand on his chest, acting like he was hurt. "Bumalik ka na nga sa site, Cruz! Isusumbong kita kay Santi!"
