dear diary,

i can't take it anymore... she kept appearing in my dreams, the words she said to me yesterday keep replaying in my head. i'm scared. what if she will harm mommy and haechan anyway ? what should i do ? why is my life like this ? i swallowed a lot of sleeping pills but it's not helping. i'm so confused and scared right now, dear god... please help me.

"jaehee ?" she throw her diary across the room causing miss baek to look at her in shock.

jaehee turn to miss baek with shaky body while tears streaming down her cheeks.

"baby ? what's wrong ?" miss baek asks as she approaches her.

jaehee hug her body and curl into a ball, "you're burning !" miss baek says after she checked jaehee's temperature by touching her forehead.

"mommy.. i'm fine." jaehee mumbles.

miss baek shakes her head, "you're definitely not, honey."

jaehee groan and cover her face with her blanket and sobs, miss baek sigh before went out to grab some small towel and a bowl of warm water.

"stay here, i'll be right back." miss baek peck her daughter's hair.

"she'll stay at home again today.." jaehee sigh when she heard her mom's voice outside her room, talking to the school's principal.

"yeah, thank you for your concern." is all jaehee heard before miss baek hang up the call.

she pretended to be asleep when miss baek twist the doorknob.

"jaehee ?" miss baek call out for her when she step inside the room.

jaehee stay in that position without moving a limb. miss baek walk up to her and touches her daughter's forehead and neck to check her body temperature.

"god, you're still burning.." she mumbles.

"i'll let you sleep in peace.." miss baek whisper to her and was about to get up from the bed when jaehee suddenly pull her hand.

"mommy, can you please go to work instead of looking out for me ? i'll be fine." miss baek was taken aback.

jaehee who's still closing her eyes crooked her eyebrows, "please ?" her voice sounded weak and cracked but she managed to let out the words clearly.

"who's going to take care of you ? haechan's probably at school right now. school will end in 7 hours, what if something happened–"

"it's okay, it's just a fever." jaehee insisted.

miss baek currently debating with herself but agreed, she need money to raise both of them anyway.

"okay, but please avoid walking outside for today."

jaehee nod, "i'll do anything just for you to go to work."

"go earn more money.." miss baek laugh at jaehee's joke before leaving her room to get ready for work.
