The Chariot is a card about overcoming conflicts and moving forward in a positive direction. One needs to keep going on and through sheer hard work and commitment he will be victorious.

There was a loud crash from the end of the phone, and then it hung up. What the fuck? Who was that? Fucking weirdo. I shrugged and shoved my phone back in my pocket, decidedly putting it on silent. I was like, five minutes away from the castle and five minutes away from stabbing my best friend and her boyfriend in the chest repeatedly. Seriously. I'd had enough.

"Siri? Are we there yet?" Rhys whined, leaning against her boyfriend's shoulder. Osiris rolled his eyes.
"No. We still have a little bit. Hang in there." he sighed, giving her a kiss on the top of her head. I made sure to give them an extra disgusted face across the aisle. He stuck out his tongue. I did the same back.

We'd gotten a new mission from the Queen. Who's the Queen, you ask? Well, she's the Queen of the Northern Wing, aka the north/uppermost part of the continent we lived on. Apparently she needed extra help from us to transport something particularly dangerous. I never understood the Queen's affiliation with Hood Inc. Weren't we supposed to be stealing from the government, not helping them? I wasn't really too caught up in politics, though. I couldn't give a rat's ass what nobleman or noblewoman or nobleperson decided to do with my country. Rebellion would happen anyway, no matter what side you were on. To me, it's just like a moth trying to fly into a lamp. A stupid, insane cycle.

The van rolled to a stop, and I peered out the tinted window. It wasn't snowy or overcast like I'd expected. It was actually incredibly sunny out, with bright blue skies and luscious green forest surrounding it. There was a harbour in the distance, with a bustling city and shimmering blue waters. It looked oddly beautiful.

"We're here," Our manager, Odette, called from the front. I grabbed my duffel bag that contained my weapons and armour, slid out of my seat, and let my feet touch the ground for what felt like the first time in hours. Rhys and Osiris followed, both groaning as they entered the blistering sunlight.

"Are you kidding me? We're on the north side. How is it warmer here than Yvinisha??" Rhys complained, throwing her head back.

"It's probably the warm season up here right now" I explained, fishing my sunglasses out of my pocket and throwing them on. Bright sunlight gave me headaches.

Rhys shrugged and grasped Osiris's hand. "Whatever. What time is it?" She asked Odette. She checked her watch.

"Uh, 2:30. Looks like we're just on time." Odette said. I stretched.

"Shall we enter?" Osiris asked, taking a few steps forward before pausing and looking back with a small frown. Odette nodded.

"You head up to the castle. Tell them your names at the gate, they should let you in." She instructed, unpacking some stuff from the van. We all nodded and started towards the castle.

My feet crunched on the grass path, the sun beating down on me in rays. The Quartz Castle was slowly coming into view. Osiris and Rhys had long abandoned me to go and make out or something further up the trail, and I was treading through the cast green light of the trees alone.
