They stand still for a bit, trying to decide whether to go through the vent or not. 'If it is Sebastian, then if he attacks me, I'm gonna have to shift. If that isn't Sebastian, then I'm probably gonna need to run. Fuck it'
They go through the vent.
When they exit and stand up, the room is dark, but quickly lit up by someone. Zini is grabbed and examined. 'What the fuck is this thing doing? Is it harmless? Trying to see if I have anything that can harm it?'
The creature speaks up after a bit.
He scoffs and says snarkly "You look nothing like how Angler said. You're tiny and not at all fishlike at all."
Zini looks confused "What? Who? What the hell are you talking about?"
The creature laughs "Angler told me what they thought they saw you do. How you changed into a creature that looked like me. You have nothing that indicates you are one of us" He says the last line after dropping Zini.
They're confused, but stand up and leave the room. Once out of the vent, they realize it's been an hour. The only way Zini can tell they've been in human form for an hour, they cover their mouth, rush into a corner, and throw up. Zini's tail becomes visible.
They hear a laugh from behind them, turning around, they're met with the same creature that just threw them.
"There it is, wow, you are able to hide it well, but clearly not for very long. Come on, lets see that other form" He teases.
Zini knows that they can't stay in human form for much longer, but don't wanna show this creature. '...I should probably ask his name' They realize. "...Who are you?"
He stops chuckling, then extends a hand out "Name's Sebastian"
They turn around, walk through the open door, then shift just out of Sebastian's view.
