"come on kaykay." mo'nyjah yelled as she pulled him towards the water.

they were at the beach, mo'nyjah wanted to get in the water so kaysen decided to take her.

he wasn't feeling good, but he decided to just be happy with mo'nyjah and ignore the feeling.

"don't go to far mo." kaysen mumbled as he seen her going deeper and deeper.

"kaysen grab me." mo'nyjah yelled as she felt herself going backwards.

he laughed as he grabbed her and took her to the shore.

"you know you can't swim so ion know why you even went back there." he shooked his head as her.

"i didn't know it was that deep kaykay." mo'nyjah pouted and crossed her arms.

he shooked his head and grabbed her hand, he walked away from the water and started to walk in the sand.

"can i ask you something kaykay?" mo'nyjah asked as she looked at his arm.

"yeah." he mumbled as he eyes traveled to what she was looking at.

he dropped her hand and covered his arm, he continued to walk and look at the beach.

"why do you do it ? " she asked softly as she looked at him.

he doesn't say anything as he felt his eyes stinging meaning that his was going to cry.

"it makes me feel good." he whispered as he stopped walking.

he looked at her as she looked at him sadly, she grabbed his hand again.

"how ? " she asked as she pulled him to walk again.

"i feel worthless so to make me feel better i do this." he pointed towards his arm making her stop walking.

she grabbed his arm and brought it up to her face, she kissed every scar and once she was done she pulled him into a hug.

"if you ever need anyone to talk to you can always talk to me kaysen, im here always. " she grabbed his face as she talked to him.

tears fell down his face as he wrapped his arms around her.

he cried and mo'nyjah let him, she let him cry all his pain out.

"and kaysen, your not worthless. your perfect just the way you are, you helped me a lot kaysen. your not worthless, your strong, your a survivor and you're a wonderful person." she whispered in his ear and kissed it.

he cried even more as he heard her words, that's all he wanted to hear, that's all he wanted someone to say to him.

he wasn't worthless.

he wasn't lonely.

"promise to never leave me kaykay." she held out her pinky.

" i promise." he locked his pinky with hers as the lie rolled off his tongue once again.
