The 30'th day of Harpstring moon was upon us.

I packed my things early to prepare for today's mission.

To keep everyone alive.

I was currently sitting in the Advisory Room with Seteth, as we awaited Byleth and Claude to arrive.

"You seem distressed, Laneiya. Is something the matter?" He asked as I sighed.

"The other day, Byleth confronted me and said he didn't trust me. I expected as much, but I feel that I ended up speaking a bit too harshly." I said as he hummed.

"I see. Well, Byleth is very observant, much like yourself. However, he also has his reasons for being so cold." He said as I nodded.

"They were the one meant to save people, not me. But once I arrived here, I was unable to keep myself from wanting to help as many people as possible." I said as I sighed.

"I suppose that I'll have to explain more later, but for now, I wish to focus on today's goal. Keeping the students safe." I said as he nodded.

"What is threatening them today? Are you able to tell me?" He asked.

I nodded.

"The bandits that attacked the house leaders when we first met now intend to kill the students to get revenge." I said as he nodded.

"I shall keep note of this. Thank you for informing me." He said as the doors opened, revealing Byleth and Claude.

"Ah, just in time. Byleth, Claude, as you have already been notified, your mission is to subdue some bandits." Seteth said as he stood up.

"Our students have been learning about combat through study, but this is a precious opportunity to provide them with practical experience. The knights will support your mission and are prepared to offer their support if necessary. In short, this is no mock battle. You must be prepared for anything." Seteth said, crossing his arms.

"As such, we have appointed our counselor, Laneiya, to join you. As this will be the first time many of your students will be spilling blood, a helping hand would be beneficial for this expedition, as a breakdown mid-battle is unwise." Seteth said as Claude nodded at me while Byleth glared.

"You will receive a message when it is time to depart. Until then, use your time wisely." Seteth said before taking his leave.

"More bandits? Not very original, Teach." Claude said as I shook my head as I walked over.

"I don't think it was Byleth who scheduled this expedition. From what I've seen, each class has had a similar task assigned to them recently." I said as Claude nodded.

"That said, I feel the need to share a possibility with you both. If you recall our first meeting, you were being chased by bandits near Remire. The area this expedition is taking place at is directly next to it in Zanado. It's possible that they may be the same group from before." I said as Byleth narrowed their eyes at me.

"And why should that be an issue?" He asked.

"Because their pride was destroyed by people they veiw as spoiled children. If it is indeed them, they're likely after revenge and your heads." I said as Byleth sighed.

"Fine. I'll take your word for it." He said as Claude eyed the interaction.

"Am I missing something, or are you two fighting right now?" He asked as I turned to him.

"We had a small argument yesterday. Hopefully, it won't alter our work for today." I said as Byleth raised a brow.

"Small?" He questioned as I sighed.
