Nithra's POV

I was woken up by the pricking noice of my alarm. I sat up on the bed and put my brunette hair  into a messy bun while staring aimlessly at the blank beige wall in front of me.  I've been cursed with a one of a kind landloard who wont even allow posters . That old fart has such an old fashioned mentality that it is physically painfull.

I finally got up the courage to get off of bed and start with my day, If I ever wish to move out of this godaweful apartment the money is not gonna make itself.

Its been half a year since I graduated with a marine biology degree and boy is it a pain in the ass to find a job in the field. No kidding, I really do love what i majored in but that does not change the fact that any job in the field requires years of work experience which you really cant be expecting from a fresh graduate. So now I do part time in a diner as well as at a customer service call center. Neither of them are very peaceful considering I have to deal with all kinds of people from stinky stuck up teenagers to old geezers that for their own good shouldnt be buying an air fryer in the first place.

"Good morning Nithra, Whats up? The place is gonna be tremendously busy today, You know what sundays are like! I already checked the inventory how about you start with the pancake batter."

Only one person could be this cheerful at 6:30 am on a sunday morning.

 "Im good and Ofcourse Afreen"

Short black hair with those brown sleepy looking eyes that have an underlying charm about them. She's one of the first friends I made moving into this city and has a bright bubbly personality which I totally needed to be around considering the dreadfull Homo sapiens I usually have to deal with in a day. She moved  for university and is currently woking on a bachelors degree in architecture.

"By the way Nithra, We got an envelope dedicated to you this morning ."

Obviously my landloard wont allow packages to be delivered to the residence either, isnt that crazy?. I managed to get permission from the diners owner to have my mail delivered here instead. Not the most prefferable arrangement but ive come to deal with the embarrasment of others seeing  my irresponsible purchases at this grown age. What can i say, Those hello kitty pjs werent gonna walk themselves to me now were they?

"Who was it from?"

"Uhhh, It was some company I think so MBRC something something. It looks pretty fancy."

A loud gasp echoed in the room, It was me ofcourse

"Did you just say MBRC ? as in THE MBRC?! WHERE IS THE LETTER"

"Its right on counter over there" Afreen points at the counter behind me and I see the envelope with that signature blue Ribbon, It was the most beautiful envelope I'd ever seen in my life. It was calling my name as I skiddadled toward it ~

I almost dropped my bowl of pancake batter out of exitement, I never thought this day would come.. the Marine biology research center is only just the best of the best institution in the history of marine biology!. I never thought I would hear back from them considering its been so long since i sent them my job application but I guess miracles are infact true.

I open the envelope delicately trying not to tear it cause of my shaking hands. As I pulled out the letter inside I shut my eyes really tight.

"Afreen, Could you please read this out for me"

"Sure! I guess its some big deal " Afreen takes the letter from my hand and my hand instinctly goes towards it but i repress myself. I nervously fidget with my fingers waiting for the bandage to be ripped off.
