After thinking it over and over, Eliza decided to go out and have dinner with her Mother to talk things through so to speak.

"You look pretty tonight, Eliza. Considering..." Serra Anderson says complimenting her daughter while taking a seat at the table.

"Thanks. Amya said I don't have to wear the sling anymore, but the cast itself has to stay on a little bit longer."

"I'm sorry that you had to even go through that. It should have never happened in the first place."

Eliza clears her throat. "Thank Mom. Um, has anything new happened at work?" Liza asks, changing the subject. She was getting tired of people asking her if she was okay when she was. somewhat.

"It's good. I'm fitting in well. There is a lot of paperwork, and I don't know how you and your father could do it. Speaking of, how's the intelligence unit?"

"It's good, I get along with my co-workers, and my best friend Erin is there, So everything is good," Eliza says, smiling and drinking a cup of water.

"And Hank Voight is treating you well?" Serra asks her daughter.

Liza sigh. "He has always been treating me right Mom. You know since you stopped being a mother, someone had to be there for us."

"Look, Eliza, I know I haven't been the best parent, and I haven't been there for you. I wasn't the same when your father died. But we are still family and that means forever. Not some low-level Sergeant, who brainwashed you into believing that he's your family."

Eliza scoffs and laughs. "You kidding me? Brainwashed? Are you on drugs again? Hank Voight is my family, he is Maria's family, and he's Amya's family. He would do anything to protect his own. It's more than you ever did." Eliza says, standing up from her seat, "And let me tell you something Serra, Hank has been there for us.
More times than I can count, and more times than you've been there for me since our father died. Because family... doesn't end in blood! God, you are such a bitch.
Do you think everything is about you? Well news flash Serra, it isn't " Eliza grabbed her purse and stormed out of the restaurant, leaving her mother speechless.
