Paul Hasting chuckles and punches Eliza in the stomach where he has stuck the knife. Eliza groans and moans in pain as Hasting lifts Eliza's face and says, "Come on baby. You think I want to hurt you?"
"After what I went through with you for two years? Yeah, you know all about it. And you think you scare me? You have another thing coming." Eliza says, still groaning in pain.
"Yeah, baby I do actually." Hasting says.
"And how is that?" Eliza questions.
"Because babe, I know secrets." He smiles playing with Eliza's long blonde hair, "Secrets that you will never want anyone to know."
"Like what?" Eliza croaks out, moving her head so that he will stop playing with her hair.
Paul smirks, "That you babe, was pregnant with my child." Hasting tilts his head and watches Eliza's face lose all her color as if she had just seen a ghost, her throat dries up and her heart falls straight into her stomach, "It's too bad, that you had a miscarriage, huh? We would have been a beautiful family. I would've shaped that child into something great."
"Yeah, that's too bad," Eliza says coldly.
About a year into being undercover, Eliza had gotten a little too close to Hasthing, because it was her job and honestly at the time she couldn't deny his good looks even though she knew he was a monster. One night Hasthing came into Eliza's room and raped her. Which ended her being pregnant. Eliza hated herself; she knew it wasn't her fault, but she was embarrassed and still is to this day. The only person who ever knew about was Hank and Oliva.
Before Eliza could even hide the pregnancy test, Paul saw her looking at it. And she hated how happy he was when he saw that positive test in her hands. But that night when she had her miscarriage everything turned dark. He hit her, got worse with the girls he was trafficking, and started killing people himself instead of having his men do it.
Everything got so much worse when Eliza lost his child those innocent people died because of her. She blamed herself for everybody that he dropped. But her unborn baby was this monster, she would have loved and cared for it, no matter what.
