Wattpad features several fantastic books that appeal to a broad range of readers. It also includes some amazing writers that are dedicated to their work. Even though I don't read on Wattpad as much as I used to, I enjoy watching writers receive the attention they deserve.

However, Wattpad has a huge issue with removing people's stories without proper notice. It's a slap in the face to both the author and the readers who were enjoying the book. Many readers and writers form emotional connections with the books they read and write.

Authors take the time to share their work on this platform, which can lead to traction and revenue for both parties. I am unfamiliar with everything because I've never been paid on Wattpad before. But I do know that removing someone's book for no reason has the potential to ruin someone's livelihood.

Furthermore, it can demotivate the author to continue writing, particularly on Wattpad. As we've seen time and again, many popular writers are leaving Wattpad due to this issue. And as they depart, so does their audience.

Many readers like to support their favorite authors. Some people start petitions to get their beloved authors' book(s) restored, while others use Wattpad and other social media platforms to express their displeasure.

It works sometimes, but not always.

As long as I've been on this website, I've never had my book taken down. But I would be devastated if it ever happened to me. Even though I do keep backups, taking the time to think of an idea, plan it out, type it out, publish it, get some views only for it to randomly get taken down is insane.

Also, why on EARTH does Wattpad not support all emojis? I don't know if they have ever spoken on this before – (if they have, then let me know) but it's so stupid to me that we can only use particular emojis. And it's probably not even half of all the emojis that are on our phones. I get that not all of them may be appropriate, but why let us use them in the comment section of a book, but not on message boards?

There's been too many embarrassing moments where I was texting out a bunch of emojis and only one ended up sending. Sometimes none will appear.

Do better Wattpad!!

I know this is a short chapter since this site has a good amount of issues with it, but I will most likely revisit this topic! On to the next topic.
