DEMONS...MIZU DIDN'T REALLY HAVE AN OPINION ON THEM. All the knew was that she hated them.
She wondered how humans felt when their loved ones got eaten by demons. She wondered how humans worked, really. But every time she tried to test something with one, she always got hungry.
Damn you, Evil Bastard, she cursed him again. She didn't know how many times she'd done that since the first discovery she'd made. But she wished the Demon Slayer Corps would just get on with it already.
The two demons in front of her were different, though.
"Awwwww..." she cooed, gently cupping the shy one's cheeks. The grumpier one glared at her every time she touched the shy one. Of course she noticed the numbers in their eyes—but she didn't point it out yet.
"Miss, can you stop touching him?" The grumpy one asked irritably, pulling the shy one away from Mizu and scowling at her. "Do you know who we are? We could destroy you with one hit."
Doubt it. Mizu smiled at that. "Ah..yes, I noticed the numbers in your eyes. Lower Moons Five and Six?" Lower Five nodded slowly, trying to cover Lower Six with his body. "Yeah. So don't mess with us. Mess with one, and you get the other."
Mizu chuckled, her expression softening. These kids were so cute. "I see..well..I won't mess with you guys then." She crouched down again and held her arms out, beckoning to them.
The two flinched back at first, but Lower Six peeked over Lower Five's shoulder and took a small step out from behind him. Lower Five grabbed onto his wrist and they whispered some things to each other. Lower Five eventually sighed and let Lower Six drag him forwards.
Lower Six stopped in front of her and swallowed nervously. His gaze flickered to Lower Five, who squeezed his hand and stepped forwards. "Don't try anything funny. You'll be dead before you can speak," he threatened. Lower Six nodded along slowly.
The demon boy hesitantly walked into Mizu's arms. She wasn't either of them to actually go through with it and come close enough. Much less the shy one.
She squealed and hugged Lower Six tightly, but not enough to suffocate him. He yelped at first and Lower Five bristled. But after about a minute, he (surprisingly) settled in her arms and wrapped his arms around her neck. "Oneechan," he whispered, holding her tightly. "Why are you so nice towards us?"
..that..
Mizu didn't respond at first and adjusted her hold on Lower Six, holding him tight. She drew in a breath. "I....it's hard for me to explain."
In reality, she saw them as herself. Back then, with..
She clenched her jaw and shook her head. Lower Six nervously patted her back. "S-sorry, Oneechan..I didn't mean to make you mad.." he apologized and absently messed with her already slightly messed up hair.
Mizu grumbled and lightly swatted his hand away. "No. It's fine. And you—" she said, turning to Lower Five. If looks could kill, Mizu was sure she'd be dead. Many times over.
"Stop looking so jealous," she snickered. Lower Five's expression darkened and he looked off to the side. "Come on, Ku. Let's go." Lower Six held onto Mizu for a few seconds longer, then reluctantly pulled away and went back to Lower Five's side.
"G-goodbye, Oneechan!.." Lower Six called over his shoulder as he was dragged off. Mizu blinked and waved enthusiastically. "Goodbye!" She grinned at him, and he smiled shyly and ran off with Lower Five.
Mizu's smile faded as soon as they were out of sight. She went to the lake and slipped back in. She rolled her eyes when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and snapped at the one behind her. "What? I hope you didn't freeze part of the lake. Especially not down here."
The two continued their back and forth while Mizu distantly wondered if the two Lower Moons were going to leave the village soon.
Three of the Twelve Kizuki in one place..was not needed.

Kumo laughed into Rui's chest and used his clothes to try and muffle it. His shoulders shook and his arms loosened around Rui's waist.
Rui hissed and lightly bit Kumo's cheek. "It's not funny." Kumo kept laughing and shook his head. "Yes it is. You are so jealous." He shifted to a better position in Rui's lap.
Rui glared at Kumo. "So I was a little jealous of her touching you. So what? She should know better not to try and touch one of us anyway."
Kumo shrugged and tucked his head into Rui's neck with a smile. "There you go. It's not good to lie, Rui."
Rui gave him an offended look and pinched his arm.
Arashi lay starfish on the grass, staring idly at the clouds passing by. A leaf landed on her mouth and she blew it up. She did that repeatedly, entertained. Someone gently caught the leaf when it was blown up and looked down at her.
She waved with a smile. "Kamado-kun, what are you doing here?" He plopped on the ground beside her and drew his legs to his chest. "Did you hear about that village that got reduced to rubble? It's..upsetting." He mumbled, glaring at the leaf.
Arashi sighed inwardly. He didn't answer my question.. "No, I haven't. I'm assuming the slayers assigned to that mission either failed or destroyed the whole village in the process of—" "ARASHI KHUMITO! YOU ARE BEING CALLED TO A MISSION IN THE NORTH! HEAD THERE AT ONCE!" Her crow, Ruea, interrupted her. Arashi winced and rubbed her ears. "Coming...goodness."
She stood and offered a hand to Tanjiro who took it. "Well..I shall tell you about my mission when I get back, okay?! She said with a smile, squeezing his hand gently. He gave her a worried look and took her hand in both of his. "Please be careful, Khumito-san."
"I will be," Arashi slipped her hand out of his grasp and ruffled his hair. She turned and started running, looking over her shoulder while waving. Once out of eyesight she focused on the task at hand. She wondered where her mission was stationed at.
Can't possibly be that bad, right?
..if they needed a Hashira?...probably.
