The Kitsune looked in the mirror as she observed her outfit and sighed; it had been a long time since she had worn anything so heavy. Her blazer hung loosely off her shoulders as she turned to look at her heels. It was cold, but she always ran warmer than most humans. She nestled her necklace securely between her breasts. After all, pure hand-carved jade was expensive, so she had hidden the nine-tailed fox pendant enough from those with prying eyes. Taking a deep breath, she walked downstairs and greeted her father, only to see Billy Black in his wheelchair.
"Hello," she greeted before turning to the young man next to him. "Who is this?" Charlie awkwardly cleared his throat. "Visha, this is Jacob. Do you remember him?" Visha gazed at the boy with a searching gaze as she sorted through her memories "Barely" she answered before nodding at Billy.
The man watched as his goddaughter walked into the kitchen and his eyes narrowed when he noticed she made no noise. Was it possible that she was a cold one? His thoughts came to a stop when she came out sipping what smelt like very strong coffee. He knew that they could not eat or drink, so maybe she was just one of those humans. Visha, however, was uncomfortable. Her kind did not appreciate wolf shifters finding their narrow-mindedness annoying.
Her eyes fell on her dad's anxious frame, and she decided to at least feign interest. "Why are you here, Mr Black?" Billy gazed at the girl and tried to smile. "Charlie told us what happened. I wanted to come and see you. We thought that you were.." the older man trailed off before his son snapped and cut him off.
"Dead, we thought you were dead" Jacob seemed to force the phrase out of his mouth. Visha was silent, her eyes glued to the men, unknown to them she was staring at their wolf spirits. They were weak. The older girl raised an eyebrow and just nodded. "Dad, I got a job at the hospital, so I'll be going".
Charlie nodded as his eldest gave him a tight hug. Billy sighed and spoke "We should get going as well" The two wolves followed the girl outside before Jacob harshly whispered, "She smells like a Cullen". Visha, who was close to her car, stopped and turned to face them. "You speak as if my boyfriend's family has done something to you". Billy let out a harsh breath as he realised that those bloodsuckers had seduced both of Charlie's daughters.
"Visha the Cullens they aren't," Visha's hard glare cut his words off. "You do not get to counsel me, Billy Black. I am aware of what he is. As am I aware of what you are". Her eyes flashed silver before she glared at Jacob. "You will stay far away from my mate and his family, or I shall destroy you".
Kitsunes were tricksters, weaving lies and deceptions was a part of how they managed to survive this long. Visha was gifted in the arts of mental manipulation. For a brief second, both men saw the lifeless, bloodied bodies of the pack. Jacob looked at Visha in horror as Billy let out a soft curse.
The woman then gave the men a sarcastic smile before getting in her car and leaving. Jacob, now a bit unnerved, turned to his father. "What was that?" Billy swallowed as the two manured into the car. "That was a warning"
For the first time in a long while, Billy was afraid.

Forks Hospital was smaller than the one where Visha had worked in Korea. The Kitsuné walked into the administration area. "Hello, I'm the new hire" A nurse looked up and her eyes widened "Visha...visha swan" Several older workers now turned to correct the nurse when they saw the girl.
"Yes, it's Swan-Kim now" The older woman shuddered "But you're dead". Visha sighed and reluctantly gave a shortened but truthful version of her mother's decision. The room fell silent as the other women in the office felt anger building in their hearts.
Renee was a piece of work. Visha, however, just plastered on a passable smile, "Where will I be working" Immediately the surrounding nurses snapped out of their thoughts and began to fill the young girl in. It took an hour before Visha managed to start her job, though. She wouldn't admit it, but she was annoyed with the amount of people swarming her. Luckily, she was saved. "Visha" Looking up, the girl's stoic expression became a little softer and her dark eyes met with "Carlisle"
The older man glanced at the clock and then offered his hand. "Mind if I take my future daughter-in-law to lunch" To the nurse's surprise Visha took his hand. She gave them a nod before the two left. Once they were out of hearing range, the girl softly whispered "Thanks".
Carlisle nodded and then whispered, "You're welcome but we do need to talk" Visha tilted her head to observe the man before nodding "Okay". She had a feeling she was not going to be the only person in this talk.
Her thoughts turned out to be true when she noticed Rosalie and Edward. The mind reader glanced up at his girlfriend's sister. Visha did not acknowledge the male and instead smiled at Rosalie "Hello, again". Rosalie marvelled at how calming Visha's voice was as she found herself standing to greet the girl.
"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you again. I am Rosalie Hale" Edward's head snapped to Rosalie in shock. She had refused to acknowledge Isabella, but followed her etiquette classes for this random girl. Visha smiled and nodded before turning to Carlisle. "May I ask what this is about"
Carlisle sighed, "Isabella and my son Edward are getting married soon. We are aware that you are not close. However, most of the coven refuses to attend if you are not present." Visha sensed the man's honesty, blinked, and then acknowledged Edward. "When your real mate comes along, what will you do?".
There was a long pause as the man stared at the girl, yet he did not answer, and Visha just seemed to take note of that. "My father and I will attend" Rosalie noted how the girl had yet to blink but did not dare to ask any questions as it was the wrong time.
Edward, however, was always foolish. "Why can't I read your mind" he demanded. Visha turned to him and the room fell silent. Rosalie now understood why she wanted to wait everything about Visha screamed a predator at the top of the food chain. Something in the girl's eyes indicated that she had never lost a hunt. Yet Visha just smirked, "I do not want you to, so you naturally won't be able to".
Edward snarled at the girl his anger visible on his face as he bared his teeth to her. Carlisle and Rosalie rose to intervene, but Visha was already in front of Edward gripping his jaw "Go on bare your teeth at me," she cooed before the temperature drooped and dark brown eyes turned a molten silver her voice changing from melodic to one of nightmares "I'll pull them out. One. By. One"
Edward swallowed as fear filled his eyes. He had no idea what Visha was, but she scared him.
