'Welcome to Easthaven!' The sign reads.
I take in all the familiar streets and the memories flood back to me, I can't help but feel nostalgic, excited, but a feeling of trepidation overcomes me.
All I want is to see my friends — er, ex friends. Especially Vianna. It feels wrong to blame her for everything that happened, but she initiated it, she never even bothered to reach out to me; but I guess I understand why.
I never meant to hurt her, I would never purposely hurt her. She was my bestfriend.
I unintentionally play with the hem of my black shirt, The ride's bumpy as we pull into my Moms driveway.
Our family is quite wealthy, we have a two story house, it costs a lot, my mother has a good paying job, but calling my house a mansion would be exaggerating.
"Excited to be back?" My dad attempts to initiate the last conversation but I just nod.
He huffs at my nonverbal response before getting out the car and grabbing my bags for me, we walk up to the door and before I could even knock, my mom swings open the door and attacks me with kisses and captures me in a tight ass hug.
"Hey Ma." I mutter and squirm out of her grip, chuckling softly.
"My baby boy!! You've grown so much, you're so handsome. And your voice is so deep, ah the ladies are gonna love that!" She squeals and I can't help but roll my eyes playfully.
"And hello to you, thank you for having him." My mom kisses my dad's cheek — out of respect, of course all my father can do is nod and leave without saying a goodbye. A year with him was hell.
"We have company, say hello before you go to your room." I nod in response and step inside, my gaze lands on a woman sitting on the couch with a glass of wine in her hand, her brown hair is slicked back into a ponytail and it bounces as she walks over to me. It's Vianna's mother, Mrs Bree.
"Hello Nico, you've grown." She smiles warmly and pulls me into a quick hug.
"You haven't aged one bit." I chuckle nervously and pull away.
She shakes her head laughing before sitting back down. After 10 minutes of nonstop hugging from my mother and polite chatter between the three of us, I head up to my room.
I set my bags down on the floor and look around the room, nothings changed at all, although it seems my mother has come in and cleaned a little bit for me.
I slowly step around my room, there's music posters on every wall, stacks of discs sitting on my desk, and a shitton of homework. I groan at the thought of having to go back to school.
I carefully pick up a framed picture of the old friend group and can't help but smile, I set it down before grabbing another picture — It's a picture Maisie took of Vianna and I asleep, she's snuggled in my lap, her beautiful, long brown hair falling over her face, she looks peaceful.
I put the frame back on my dresser before gently picking up my sword and swinging it around between my fingers; the memories come flooding back to me, the good ones, and the bad.
I look at myself in the mirror, holding the sword infront of me. I hesitate before grabbing my belt, sheathing my sword, and rushing downstairs.
"Ma, can I go to the training centre?"
My mother and Mrs Bree exchange a look before she smiles softly, "Of course, be safe."
I raise an eyebrow before shrugging it off and nodding, I walk outside and head to the training centre, it's not too far from my house.

"He doesn't know Vianna is there, does he?" Mrs Bree sighs.
"No, he doesn't."

Nico's first POV!
Sorry if it's rushed towards the end.
Also, I have a strong feeling that somewhere in this chapter and the last one, I accidentally typed Vrianna instead of Vianna, her name is Vianna guys.
