The construction took Takashi way longer than he anticipated, but its only because he was too much of a perfectionist with his ambition. Halfway through the process, Sai had to leave because duty call, but he was finished with his training anyway, so Takashi let him go.

Takashi tested the shelters he had made through his sweats, bloods and tears to its full extend, and the young Senju was proud and confident with his final product.

The Land of the Tea then swore its loyalty to the Land of Fire with a deal well struck. This cemented Senju Takashi to be one of the most influential shinobi in present times. It's an achievement Takashi sure is proud of, and it is one he wishes to further developed. Having almost all his life exploring the world, Takashi grew to love it everyday. Takashi wishes to keep the world and its inhabitants safe, no matter what.

With an outstanding success, Takashi bid his adieu to began his journey back to his home. Albeit the profound sense of pride and happiness however, Takashi felt a tug in his heart that was rather troublesome. Something is wrong and Takashi couldn't ignore though he didn't exactly know what went wrong.

Arriving back to his village, Takashi was greeted back by his mother, who he noticed to be quite solemn. There was an evident sadness and the sense of mourning. Takashi was almost afraid to ask.

But then again, Takashi was no longer the boy who needed to be coddled. For goodness sake he's the Abominable Savant, he has kill more than he can count. What he sees right now, he has done it to his enemies as well. The act to sever a bond, he must've done it thousand times by now.

"Is it the Akatsuki?" Takashi forced himself to asked, gaining a slow head nod from his mother. ". . .Who?" The teenager prepare himself.

"Asuma. Tomorrow would be his funeral." Saika simply said, but not without a wavering voice. Sarutobi Asuma was one of her close friends too. He was once her drinking buddy. "Shikamaru will tell you everything you need to know, but for the time being. . . give him some space."

By the way Saika tells it, Asuma must've died in front of Shikamaru. It was more evident by the look of the mentioned Nara when they meet the very next day. Everyone gathers to mourn Asuma, but the young Nara left earlier as Takashi took notice. Slowly but surely, the young Senju followed the mourning boy until he settles on a roof, overlooking some children playing with each other.

Their laughter and their joy strike a great contrast to what Shikamaru feels. The children may never understand his world, but that would be just fine. The children doesn't need to know.

Shikamaru was smoking with Asuma's weapon in his hands. The young ninja was making himself comfortable with the sharp ninja tools when Takashi sat just besides him. There was silence as Shikamaru put a lot of effort into his first cigarette. There wasn't word really needed to be said as the loss still felt fresh on their body and mind.

"I still don't understand how he can smoke so much. . ." Shikamaru wonders out loud. "In his last moments, he said he won't smoke no more though. I still don't know why, maybe I'll never know now. . ."

"Don't be so dramatic, you already know exactly why." Takashi scoffed, making Shikamaru smile at last. Takashi was of course talking about Kurenai and her baby. The moment then continue, "My weapon failed him. I'm sorry. . ." Takashi was now tense and serious.
