Aarushi POV-
I was walking around the library while staring at the tons of books stacked right in front of me. There were books of every kind...romance, thriller, horror, and even documentaries. Standing inside such a huge library was a dream come true for me. I gently took out on one the books kept at the corner, I don't know why but I felt like it was different from the rest of the books. I was about to sit on one of the tables kept for people who wish to study or read in the library itself, when suddenly I felt someone holding my shoulder.
I don't know why but the surrounding felt too cold all of a sudden, the air suddenly becoming too heavy and it was making me hard to breathe. I was scared, though I myself don't know why...but I felt the touch way too uncomfortable. I turned around to look at the person's face, but they were wearing a mask.
"Where will you run from me sweetheart...I'll follow you everywhere you go...even till hell." The cold voice of the man echoed through my ears as I stared at him seriously for a solid few seconds.
"Do you seriously think I'll go to hell?"
What? It was an important question. What in the world made that man think that I'll be going to hell. Disbelief could be seen in the man's eyes but before he spoke anything, I felt something cold on my body. Was it raining inside the library?
I looked up to see the man slowly disappearing into thin air as I opened my eyes.
"Abhi ke bachhe! Why the hell did you pour water on my face!?" I asked, my eye fuming with anger as I didn't like anyone disturbing my precious sleep. Don't get me wrong, I'm a nice girl, but those who dare to disturb my peaceful sleep deserve hell.
"I thought you were dead for a few seconds di. How the hell do you sleep like you're in hibernation?" Abhishek asked, earning a smack in return.
"You little monkey. Learn to respect your elders." I replied while lazily pulling myself up from my bed.
"Okay senior citizen." Abhishek shouted while running out from my room while I just sighed.
What a nice beginning of the day.
I rushed downstairs wearing my light dark green frock with skin coloured leggings and a dupatta around my neck. I decided to braid my hair today and also wore my anklets.
I was quite nervous today as I had to take permission for something from my dad and knowing how he is, I'm sure that he'll refuse...but what's wrong in trying right?
"I can do it. I can do it." I whispered to myself as I gazed at my dad, who was busy reading his newspapers.
I played with my dupatta while taking slow steps towards him. He looked up, feeling my presence around him and stared at me with raised eyebrows.
"I can't do it." I thought and turned to leave but I halted on my steps hearing him speak.
"Do you want to ask anything from me?" my eyes were wide as this was the first time he talked to me by himself, otherwise I'm the one who always initiated a conversation while he always replied with a nod or a 'hmm'. I turned around and looked at him before nodding my head slowly.
"Actually dad...yesterday when I went to the college..."
Flashback-
I entered the fancy college as I stared at the people in the ground. There was still time for the classes to begin, that's why the students were hanging out in the ground area...some talking to their friends, some having a verbal fight (Which is very common in my college.), while the others were just minding their own business.
