"Who made this?"
The four of them glanced at each other as Aarushi tried to hide herself behind Amara, knowing that if that Khadoos got to know that it was her who made the dish then he would definitely take revenge by giving less score to their team.
"It was me. I-I made the dish." Ishan stuttered a bit as Mr. Singhania stared at him for a few seconds before sighing and moving towards the next table not before stopping near Aarushi and whispering something as she just stared at him in shock, watching him leave the area.
"I'm not that low to take revenge by reducing your team's score miss, also, tell your friend to lie without stuttering the next time." His cold words echoed through her mind as she looked down, before shaking her head vigorously to forget the man's words.
"What happened Aru?" Amara asked as Aarushi just smiled and shook her head.
"Guys...I heard that there is a beautiful lake here somewhere, so why don't we go and spend sometime there as we are practically free for the rest of the day." Aditi suggested.
"That's fine by me but remember that we've to return back before five as I heard the teachers talking about taking us all to the museum in the evening." Ishan whispered as if it was a huge secret as the trio showed him a thumbs up. They informed one of the teachers and left towards the place.
Like this, the five days of their trips passed by in the blink of an eye and now, it was time to say goodbye to Manali, as all the students stood around, holding their bags, waiting for their bus to arrive.
"I'm going to miss you guys so much!" Amara sniffed as Ishan rubbed her hands, trying to calm the girl down, though he himself felt emotional.
Though it hadn't been more a week since they got to know each other, but they just seemed to click instantly and now leaving just seemed a bit too difficult for the four of them. This one week was one big adventure as they played tons of games, did shopping, trekking, visiting the lake, museum and the zoo and the list just goes on.
"Let's always keep in touch with each other and also let's meet whenever we get free time." Aditi said, wiping her face with her kerchief, as the teachers whistled for the students to gather up.
"If destiny wants, then we will meet again, until then please take care of yourselves and let's stay connected through the group chat all the time! Will miss you guys a lot." Aarushi whispered as the four of them did a group hug before finally leaving for their buses.
So, the thing is that though Amara and Ishan belonged to the same university but they were in a different branch. The two branches were in the two opposite corners of the city, making their meetup quite difficult.
Aarushi and Aditi sat bedside each other as always, Aditi decided to listen to music whereas Aarushi read her novel, the one she had bought recently from the bookstore that they all had visited two days ago. She smiled at the memory and glanced at the window for a few seconds before turning her attention back to her book.
"Mera bachha aagaya." Divya hugged her beloved daughter who smiled tiredly and hugged her back.
(My child has arrived.)
"So Di, how was your trip there? Did you enjoy? I think you ate a lot huh? Also bought a lot of stuff I see...Did you bring something for me too? Made any new friends? How's your friend?" Aarushi just stared at her brother with a done face as he bombarded all the questions in a single breathe.
