Haerin and Hanni moved quietly through the dimly lit corridors of Hogwarts, the soft glow of enchanted lanterns casting long shadows on the stone walls. The group of Ravenclaws, along with a few students from other houses, climbed steadily toward Ravenclaw Tower, one of the castle’s three tallest spires. Anticipation hummed in the air, making the journey feel longer than it actually was.

The spiral staircase to the Ravenclaw common room wound up the west tower, beginning on the fifth floor. At the top, they reached a door without a knob or keyhole, adorned only with a bronze knocker shaped like an eagle.

As the group halted before the door, the eagle-shaped knocker came to life, its musical voice posing a riddle. Haerin arched an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. Jungkook, The sixth  year prefect, a tall Ravenclaw with a gleaming badge, answered the riddle with confident ease.

Noticing Haerin’s questioning glance, Hanni leaned in and whispered, “In Ravenclaw, there’s no password. You have to answer a random question to get in—only those with true Ravenclaw qualities can pass.”

Intrigued, Haerin nodded, her mind already at work on the riddle as the prefect’s answer caused the door to swing open, revealing the Ravenclaw common room.

The room stretched out before them, airy and spacious, with large arched windows offering a breathtaking view of the night sky. The soft glow of moonlight filtered through, casting silver light across the room. Blue and bronze silks adorned the walls, and the midnight blue carpet, speckled with stars, mirrored the celestial feel of the domed ceiling above.

The prefect guided them through the room, pointing out the various areas where students gathered to study or relax. Haerin couldn’t help but notice the serene, scholarly atmosphere, a stark contrast to the bustling energy she had seen in Gryffindor’s common room.

Three doors stood on one side of the room, and the prefect paused to explain their significance. “These lead to the other common rooms—Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. The Headmaster added them to allow mixed-house students easier access between common rooms.”

Hanni, who had chosen to live in the Ravenclaw common room despite her Huffleclaw status, smiled at the memory leaning into haerin.
“I use those doors a lot,to travel from Hufflepuff common room to ravenclaw's. It’s nice to visit friends in other houses. However, Only those in the respective houses can open them, so it’s much more convenient than trekking through the castle.”

The tour concluded with a visit to the first-year dormitories. “You’ll be sharing a dormitory with your housemates,” the prefect said, leading the group towards the rooms.

After some discussion—and a bit of pleading from Hanni—it was decided that Haerin and Hanni would share a room.

Once they settled in, Haerin carefully removed Lala, her pet toad, from its cage and fed it. The small creature responded eagerly, and Haerin smiled as she gently patted it.

Hanni watched with a mix of curiosity and amusement. “A pet toad? And you named it Lala? That’s adorable,” she said with a giggle.

Haerin nodded, her eyes softening. “Lala’s been quite the companion, even though I’ve only had her for a short time.”

Hanni’s face brightened with a sudden thought. “I should get Milly,” she said, jumping to her feet.
“I left her in the Hufflepuff common room.”

Haerin watched as Hanni left the room, likely heading towards the magical door that connected to the Hufflepuff quarters. Taking advantage of the solitude, Haerin explored the room. The moonlight streamed in through large windows, lending the space a cozy, welcoming feel. For the first time since arriving, Haerin felt at ease.
