"Hey dweeb" some kid said as he slammed my head against my locker. I just ignored the pain and continued looking for my calculus book.
I found it eventually under the rest of my books. My Calculus book stands out from my other books because it's the only one without writings and doodles of "fag" "dork" "nerd" "dweeb" or "loser" on it.
I quickly stuffed it into my bag and made my way towards the first class.
Thankfully, Sean was already waiting for me outside the classroom, which means I don't have to endure those endless teasing and torture until classes start.
I bet you're asking me, "When did this happen? When did your life suddenly turn around?" but no. My life never turned around. The moment I took a step inside this school, they decided to label me a faggot and the school's biggest loser.
Okay, yes, I am gay but I never even told anyone. Plus Stacy and Charlotte, the two most popular cheerleaders of all time are dating yet no one seems to care. I guess no one will bother you unless you're pretty, popular or dead.
"Hey" Sean smiled. Sean was my only friend because he's the only one who always defends me against those nasty people who think they rule the school. I'm glad that he's my friend though. I'd rather have him as a friend than all those fake people with nothing but real money.
"Hey" I smiled back weakly. My eyes looked past his shoulder and into the room. Great. Just great. Colton and his friends were sitting at the back of the room, laughing off about something. Probably laughing about me or other people's flaws.
Sean's eyes followed mine and he rested his hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry about them, okay? I'm here" he said and I smiled.
"Thanks Sean. You know I love you"
"Move it fags!" Jace, one of Colton's friends, passed by us, pushing me roughly to the side and making me land in Sean's arms so can enter the room. He looked at us one last time before making a disgusted face and walking over to where Colton and his groupie sit.
I sighed one last time. I really hate this place. "Let's go"
As soon as we entered, Colton started making barfing noises and his friends, of course, made a show of doing the same as well.
Sean and I sat on the front seats, the farthest seats from Colton and just ignored them, which probably pissed them off because they started throwing crumbled pieces of paper at the back of my head.
I really hate this place.
Thankfully, the teacher came and everyone shut up. But I know I wasn't safe. I never was and never will be.
"You can do this okay? If you need my help just text me and I will barge into your class and beat the fucking hell out of them" Sean tried to reassure me. I nodded but I was still stiff scared. This is the only class Sean and I don't have together and sadly, this is the class containing almost every single obnoxious pricks and cunts.
"Yeah" I say. I gave him one last goodbye before entering the room and meeting my doom.
"Look who just walked in" Lily, one of the cheerleaders said.
Colton grinned and made his way towards me. "What are you doing here loser?"
I wanted to tell him that this is my class as well but I just remained silent and unmoving. If I made a move to ignore him, he'll probably punch me in a pulp with no effort at all.
"I asked you a question, didn't I? Why are you even here? You don't belong in this class; you don't belong in this school. You belong in some place like the streets" Colton spat out and I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from crying.
