I was just sitting with my family when Enzo was announcing the next alpha of the pack but I had walked outside to get some fresh air cause lord is it stuffy under that tarp, surrounded by drinking and sweaty wolf's.

I was in a corner outside, smoking, to relieve my nerves. Something I have kept from Kayn for two years, thank goddess.

But knowing Kayn, he is gonna be drinking which will turn into a long ass night at home, and quite frankly I just didn't want to deal with it.

Taking a long drag, sighing, please goddess make tonight easy..

All of a sudden I heard my father yell so loud that I panicked thinking I was the one in trouble.

I spoke way too soon.

I threw out the rest of my smoke and ran back into the party thinking, goddess please just let this be one of Kayn's drunkly outburst and he just needs to go home but, no, of course it could never be that easy.

What I saw was worse, my mother had been pushed to the ground and my father was being held back by multiple other guards to keep him from getting to someone.

I trailed my eyes from where he was looking and I saw Valkyrie on stage looking down at my father with absolute disgust.

"Kayn, you need to calm down," my mother tried to plea with him from the ground she was laying on.

"Shut the fuck up you dumb bitch," he snarled at her.

Everyone gasped at that statement.

Boy, if only they knew what else he calls my mother.

"How dare you give a woman a man's title! To run this pack! A woman could never run a pack!" He screamed at Enzo, our alpha or should I say, previous alpha.

He kept swearing and throwing around his arms and legs like a damn child throwing a tantrum, embarrassing, how ironic.

"I swear to the goddess I'll kill you. You and your dumb bitch of daughter!" He boomed.

"Take him away right now!" Enzo growled to the other werewolf's trying to hold my father back. They shuffled him out all while he was throwing a hissy fit.

Once he was gone, I ran to my mother to help her up off the floor.

"Where is Cordelia, we must leave before we embarrass ourselves anymore," she whispered, trying to cover her tears and fix her hair and face.

"I have no idea but here, let me help you, I'll try calling her, and tell her we are leaving."

I walked my mother outside towards the car and stepped away to try to contact Cordelia because apparently she is deaf and didn't hear the commotion that was going on. But at least she answered on the 3rd ring.

"What do you want?" She said with annoyance.

"Look dipshit, we got to go, father is irate over something stupid, I don't even know what but he has embarrassed mother and made himself look like a buffoon." I explained to her.

"Whatever, okay, I'm coming." She sighed and hung up on me.

I rolled my eyes, whatever spoiled brat.

I went back over to try and find mom, and what I saw almost sent me into shock.

I found my father strangling her which sent me into overdrive, running over to him, I tried smacking and punching him to get him off her.

"You dumb bitch! Why did you even speak? You should have just kept your damn mouth shut!" He squeezed her neck tightly until I could see her lips turning blue. She was gasping and clawing to break free, leaving little blood trails running down his arm.
