Taehyung and Jungkook bid their friends goodbye with promises to catch up soon. The bustling city noise faded as they left Seoul behind, heading towards Daegu. The two had already packed their bags for this short vacation, considering the rare break from their military duties.

During the flight, Jungkook had fallen fast asleep, the exhaustion of the day at fun-park catching up to him. His head rested on Taehyung's shoulder, and his soft breathing was the only sound Taehyung could hear over the hum of the plane. As they landed and the plane came to a stop, Taehyung glanced down at Jungkook, who showed no signs of waking up anytime soon.

With a soft smile, Taehyung gently unbuckled Jungkook's seatbelt. He carefully lifted the younger man into his arms, cradling him as if he were a child. Jungkook instinctively wrapped his legs around Taehyung's torso, his arms loosely hanging around Taehyung's neck. Taehyung adjusted his grip, keeping one hand firmly on Jungkook's hip to support his weight, while he maneuvered their luggage with the other hand.

As they made their way through the Daegu airport, Taehyung chuckled softly at the curious glances they were attracting. He could already imagine Jungkook's embarrassed whining if he woke up and realized how they were traveling through the airport. But for now, Taehyung was content to let him sleep.

They reached the arrival gate, and Taehyung began scanning the crowd for their ride. "Aish," he muttered under his breath, struggling to spot the familiar face among the sea of people. Jungkook stirred slightly, mumbling something incoherent in his sleep.
"Tae... where are we?" he murmured, still half-asleep.

"Everything is okay, hyungie," Taehyung whispered with a grin, "we'll find our ride soon. Don't you worry. And go back to sleep." He rocked Jungkook gently in his arms, trying to soothe him back into a deeper sleep.

Finally, he spotted a middle-aged man holding a sign with his name on it. "Over here!" Taehyung called out, his voice laced with relief. The man, who was their designated driver for the day, hurried over, his eyes widening slightly at the sight of Taehyung carrying Jungkook.

"Is he... alright?" the driver asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

Taehyung waved him off with a reassuring smile. "He's fine, just exhausted from the trip. Let's get to the car; he'll sleep better there."

They made their way to the car, and Taehyung carefully laid Jungkook down on the back seat, positioning his head gently in his lap to keep him from falling. He tucked him in with a small blanket he found in the car, ensuring Jungkook was comfortable. Settling into the seat, Taehyung glanced at the driver and smiled, "Daegu hasn't changed much, huh?"

The driver chuckled. "It's still the same old place, but that's what makes it special. Welcome home, Taehyung-ssi."

As the car pulled away from the airport, Taehyung's eyes softened as he looked out the window. The familiar streets of Daegu brought back a flood of memories. He hadn't been home in so long, and now, he was bringing Jungkook with him. It felt right.

This vacation was going to be perfect.

Jungkook was wide awake when they arrived at Taehyung's house. As they rang the bell, Taehyung gave him a reassuring smile, sensing his slight nervousness. The door swung open to reveal a lively girl in her teens, who gasped dramatically at the sight of her brother.

"Oppa!" she cried, throwing herself into Taehyung's arms. "You're finally home!" She pulled back, her eyes quickly landing on Jungkook. Her expression shifted to one of curiosity and admiration as she smoothed her hair.
