"So...what's the peak of today's festival?!" Yelled Luke excitedly.
"Fireworks!!" Screamed the rest of Engineering boys, all from the final year students who were about to graduate in half a year.
"Damn right, my friends!" Luke added as he raised his can of beer and proudly looked at the boys who mirrorred his action. "Goodbye 2023 and hello 2024! Cheers!!"
Joss did the same, raising his can of beer and chugged upon it until the can was empty. Then, he crushed the can and threw it to the nearest dustbin.
"Fuck, dude! No wonder you're the MVP of University's basketball team." Praised Jam, pretty impressed that it got into the dustbin. "Even when you consumed so much alcohol, you can still aim and shoot directly."
Joss tittered. "Blame it on my tolerance of alcohol, dude. Still can go on without getting drunk." He grabbed another can of beer from the table, and opened it before he drank half of the beer.
"So...are you going to be in the soccer field tonight to watch the fireworks?" Jam queried as he fed himself with some snacks they bought from the convenience store.
"I guess so...since everybody is going." Joss beamed.
"Will you bring anyone with you to the field? You know...for that romantic moment after the countdown hits zero." Jam wiggled his brows. It was the new year eve's tradition. Everyone would have someone to kiss after the countdown.
"Not tonight." Joss retorted. "I just want to see who would dare to kiss me when the clock strikes twelve. And whoever does that, I've decided to date that person for real."
"Is that so?" Luke sauntered over to Joss as he leaned down to him. "Even if it's a guy who kissed you?"
"Even if it's a guy who kissed me." Joss nodded.
"What if that guy is either me or Jam?"
Joss blinked for a couple of times, debating with himself before giving a nod. "Yup!"
"In your dream!" Said Luke in laughter. "That feels like kissing my own brother."
"I concur!" Jam raised his beer.
"Then stay out of my mission. Let the right one comes to me." Joss uttered confidently.
"The right one, huh? Who will that be?" Luke simpered as he stared at Jam who obviously didn't notice that he was being stared at.
But Joss did. He had observed Luke for a month now, on how he treated Jam particularly. It was obvious. It was Jam who so stupid to notice the changes in Luke whenever he was around that man. Maybe, Luke needed a push, or should he just break the news to Jam? "Just confess to Jam, Luke." He casually uttered and it made Jam choked on his beer, while Luke froze instantly, especially when the Engineering boys started to cheer for Luke, telling him to confess.
