"Are we there yet?" Bright asked panicky. He breathed in and out continuously, hoping that it would calm him down. He was sweating beads even though the van had the air conditioning on.
"Relax, Bright....This is not the end of the world." Pavel consoled the panic man while accelerated the van through the dark road, hoping that they would arrive on time at the venue where Bright would make his confession to Joss.
"Easy for you to say! It's not you who has to confess, and wearing this fucking high heels. What if I fell when I run back to the van? What if he manages to catch up because I run too slow in this heels?"
"Then dump the heels and run barefooted." Billkin suggested calmly.
"Yeah...I can do that." Bright simpered.
"Are you sure you can?" Pavel asked, looking at Bright through the rearview mirror.
"Of course I can't! Do you think I have time to remove these heels?!" Bright started to get riled up for no reason.
"In that case, you just have to run with those heels on." Pavel rolled his eyes, starting to get annoyed by Bright's ridiculous tantrum.
"Did you forget, I'm not a fucking women? I just learnt to walk in these heels a week ago. Walk, not run!" Bright barked in frustation. "Maybe...we should just forget about this whole mission. I don't think I can do it. What if he recognizes me?"
"Yes, you can." Billkin motivated his friend. "You can do it, Bright. It's not that hard. He probably can't see you that well because the lights are dimmed during the fireworks. Just wish him a happy new year, kiss him, then confess before you run. And if you don't want him to catch you, push him to the ground, take off your heels, and flee immediately."
Bright blinked. "I don't know, dude. I totally have cold feet right now."
"Well, too late to back out. We are here already." Pavel carefully parked the van near the soccer field. From afar, they could see Joss was already there with the Engineering boys. "You have less than ten minutes to approach him. So, are you going to do it, or not?"
