Chapter 8 - The Big Day

I woke up early, my first thought was that today's my birthday! I'm extremely excited to see everyone! But I'm also nervous too, I hope everything goes as planned. I walked out to the kitchen in my pyjamas, there were no lights on. I guess the power went out. I went to switch on the light, when I did, all 5 of the boys jumped up & yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" It startled me. "Oh my gosh you guys! You scared me!" I muffled through my fingers.

They began to walk over to the counter then I noticed a huge buffet of all my favorite breakfast food! My eyes widened and my stomach growled. I rushed to get a plate. Harry stopped me "You're the birthday girl, ill make your plate for you, what would you like?" I named everything I wanted, which was pretty much everything! He handed me my plate and I went to sit in the theatre room with the boys. "What time is everyone going to start coming?" Zayn asked. "Umm I put on the invitations 1:00" He nodded. I tried my best to finish my breakfast early so I could tidy up a bit in the house and get everything prepared. I put my plate in the dishwasher and began to get all of the food out and onto the island. After I finished doing that, I rushed around tidying up the things that needed tidying. I looked at the clock. It was 12:00. People are going to begin arriving soon. Liam & Niall had left because they said they were going to get a few extra things for the party.

Nialls POV

"I'm so nervous Liam!" "Don't be! I can really tell that Katrina likes you, I don't think she'll turn you down!" I nodded an smiled. "I hope you're right!" We were going to the store to get decorations for the house. Mostly stuff like balloons & streamers. I also needed to get one more thing for Katrina, a card! We went into the grocery store. I tried my best to enter without getting mobbed by fans. Too.Late.

Screaming girls were everywhere. Nothing I haven't seen before. Paul had come with us so he made a pathway for me and Liam to get through. Oh I wasn't just going to ignore them though. I signed a couple a autographs and took a few pictures, but I just wanted to go into the actual store. After about 15 minutes I made it through the doors to the store. I went straight to the card section. There were many that I could've chosen but I believe the one that I chose really says what I want to say. On the inside I write, 'I hope that you have a wonderful day love! Xox <3 - Niall'

It seems subtle, I know. But I want her to read the card before I ask her to be mine.

Liam picked out the decorations, and we went to checkout. We put everything into the car and drove back to the house. The time read 2:30. The day is going by really fast so far. I think by the time we get back, it'll be perfect timing to ask her, but I have to get her alone.

When we walked in, I saw lots of people, everywhere. Not many outside due to the weather. I went to my room to get her gift together. 'Camera. Check. Card. Check. Roses. Check' I had everything together. I just needed to get changed into my fancier clothes.
