Chapter 9 - Interrupted

Nialls POV

I grabbed the gift bag and roses and walked downstairs with both of them behind my back. Out of the crowd, I couldn't find Katrina. I went to the livingroom and called Liam. He picked up right away. "Hey, do you know where Katrina is, I'm going to ask her now." "Yeah! She's right here! Where are you ill tell her to go to you." "I'm in the living room" "Okay" He hung up. I'm so nervous!

I turned around. There she was. Wearing a gorgeous pink dress, with her hair curled, her beautiful smile shining as she was walking towards me. The way she looked made me even more nervous. She is absolutely perfect. "Hey Niall! Liam told me you wanted to talk to me!" She spoke, still smiling. "Umm yeah! Uh I just wanted to-" I got cut off as her friend came and took her away to the Arcade.

I stood there in awe. That was my chance. It's only 3:00, I have time. As she was walking away with we friend she yelled back to me "We'll talk later! Ok?" I nodded. I felt slight tears in my eyes.. I just want to ask her so badly, and then her friend couldn't have the decency to let her and I talk? I quickly went from sad to angry. I held in my anger and tried not to let it get the best of me. Instead I decided to just go hang out with the boys and wait for Katrina to come back.

Katrina's POV

I wish I could've stayed with Niall and heard what he wanted to say.. Now I'm in the Arcade with my friends, Sophie, Raylin & Paige. We played multiple games for what felt like hours. We finally decided to give it a break and go eat. We went to the Kitchen & they sang Happy Birthday to me. I laughed as I brought out the cake and we each had a slice. "So, got a hot date later?" Asked Paige with a wink. "It's probably Niall!" Sophie giggled. I blushed "Ohhh No I don't.." They all looked at each other then back at me. "Yeah right!!" They chanted. "We all know you have a thing for him!" Exclaimed Raylin. I blushed even more. "You're not wrong there! But I don't think he really likes me that much like that anyways, he like completely ignored me yesterday.." The shook there heads. "He probably was having a rough day." I nodded.

I decided I would go talk to Niall now, I have kept him waiting for a while and didn't want him to get impatient. So I looked around for him. I saw him in the lounge. I started to walk his way, he didn't see me yet. He was talking to a group of girls. I just entered the lounge doorway, when a slutty dressed girl that I don't even remember inviting basically jumped onto Niall and started to make out with him. And it looked like he was enjoying it too. I watched in disbelief. She got off of him and his head turned and saw me. His eyes widened. I saw him mouth the word 'No' about 5 times and I ran back to Sophie,Raylin & Paige. Tears were streaming down my face.

"Oh my god what happened!!" They shrieked. I was crying too hard to speak words. Niall came running towards us. "Katrina! Katrina!" He shouted. He came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder. The girls walked away. I turned around and right when he saw my tear stained face, he hugged me so tightly. And rocked me back and forth. "It's not what it looked like at all.." He whispered. I loosened from his grip. "Then what was it!!?" I snapped. "She was extremely drunk and her friend whispered something in her ear then next thing I knew , she was on me!" Just the sound of it again felt like a punch in the stomach. I fell into his arms again and balled. He held me tight. 'Shhh' he whispered into my hair.
