Chapter2: The Maid in the Empty Room

In 19th-century England, there was an ancient manor known for the eerie legend of Room 101. It was said that anyone who slept in this room would see a woman dressed in an old maid's uniform at midnight, and the maid would then steal their soul.

Thomas, an adventure enthusiast, decided to spend a night in the infamous room to verify the legend despite everyone's warnings.

As night fell, Thomas entered Room 101. The room was filled with a musty odor, and old portraits on the walls created an oppressive atmosphere. He lay down on the bed, turned off all the lights, and nervously waited.

At first, nothing happened. Thomas started to feel foolish, thinking the legend might be a hoax. However, when the clock struck midnight, he suddenly heard faint footsteps coming from the corner of the room, as if someone was quietly approaching.

Thomas's heart raced as he stared at the corner. Suddenly, a pale figure in a maid's uniform appeared. Her eyes glowed with an eerie light, staring straight at Thomas.

Fear enveloped Thomas. He wanted to scream but couldn't make a sound. The maid slowly approached him, holding an old, worn broom. Her footsteps were so light they were almost inaudible, as if she were floating.

The maid reached Thomas and raised the broom. Thomas tried to resist, but his body felt paralyzed. He could only watch helplessly as the broom descended.

Suddenly, Thomas felt a powerful force dragging him into a dark abyss. His consciousness faded as if his soul was being extracted from his body, and then he lost consciousness.

When Thomas awoke, he found himself in an unfamiliar place. The surroundings were desolate, with no signs of life, only ancient buildings and decaying streets. He realized his soul had indeed been extracted and trapped in this eerie place.

Thomas searched for an exit but couldn't find a way back. He met other souls, all of whom had spent a night in Room 101. They told him that to break the curse and return to his body, he needed to find the true form of the maid.

Thus, Thomas embarked on his adventure. He traversed the desolate world, exploring every corner. During his journey, he uncovered clues about the maid: she had been a servant at the manor, abused by her master until she died. Her soul had remained trapped, unable to find peace.

After much effort, Thomas finally discovered the maid's hiding place: an abandoned tower filled with a chilling atmosphere. He mustered the courage to enter the tower and confront the maid's vengeful spirit.

The maid's spirit appeared before him, eyes filled with hatred and pain. Thomas expressed his apologies and offered to help her let go of her resentment and find peace.

Moved by Thomas's sincerity, the maid's spirit dropped the broom, and tears rolled down her pale cheeks. As her resentment faded, the curse was lifted.

Thomas felt a powerful force pulling him back to the real world. He abruptly opened his eyes and found himself back in Room 101. He quickly left the room, vowing never to set foot in it again.

From then on, the legend of Room 101 continued to be told, but it became a story of courage and redemption rather than fear and superstition. Thomas learned that we should approach the unknown with respect and not challenge supernatural forces lightly.
