Best Prom
March 7, 2013. Their Junior-Senior Promenade. My mom is one of the assigned teachers to accompany the students for a while, I'm with my bestfriend Ash to help my mom. Binigay ni mamy yung list ng magsasayaw ng cotillion, we gave blue string ribbon for the boys and pink string ribbon for the girls who will dance later. I'm hoping to find him in the crowd, but unfortunately, I can't see Axl.
"Ate Vea! Here's the pink strings for the girls who will dance, ikaw na magdistribute ha?"
Sabi ni Ash, magsasayaw din si Ate Vea mamaya, kapartner sya ni Axl.
"Okay Ash, ako nang bahala." Then we both smile to Ate Vea.
"Ate, where's Axl po?" I asked her.
"Hindi pa yata dumadating eh." She replied.
Then hinanap na namin yung mga boys pero wala pa talaga si Axl. We go back to my mom's faculty room.
"Claire, look who's coming." Then Ash winked at me. Lumabas ako sa faculty and then, I can't feel my heart already. Seeing him wear a white longsleeves under his black coat, blue necktie and black pants can make my heart jump. Simple yet very attractive. Bagong gupit din sya na naging dahilan kaya nagmukang goodboy.
His snap stop my bring me back to reality. He smiled and pinched my cheeks nung nakita nyang nagulat ako.
"Are you okay baby?" He looked worried.
"Yeah. By the way, here's your blue string." Then I gave him that thing. Numumula yata ako dahil sa tawag nya sakin. Kinuha nya na yung string pero di pa din sya umaalis.
"Hmm, you can go. Seize the day-I mean the night." It's already 9:00PM na pala.
"No. I want to stay here." He smiled. His eyes oh my. Pwede bang titigan ko nalang yang mga mata mo magdamag? Hindi ako magsasawa.
"Sige, kung yan gusto mo." I smiled back.
We chat and chat until the party get started, tinawag na silang magsasayaw.
"Goodluck baby." I smiled at him. Nakakatitig lang sya sakin with his clenched jaw. Lumabas kami, I can see balloons and colorful designs. Nakakaexcite tuloy mag JS, next year kami naman.
"Grabe ka Claire, iba pala pag ikaw yung tumatawag sakin nun." Tumawa sya.
Wala naman akong nasabi kasi umalis na sya.
Nasa covered court sila. Sakto kasi may building na katabi nun kaya mapapanuod ko sya.
After the dance, nakita nya agad ako sa corridor ng 2ndfloor ng building namin.
"Punta na tayo ulit sa faculty?" Tanong nya.
"Ha? Seriously? Pano mo maeenjoy tong Prom kung sasama ka sakin?" Do I really mean this much to you? Nakakatouch naman to.
"Syempre seryoso ko sayo. Tara na, mas maeenjoy ko to pag ikaw kasama ko."
Then my heart beat abnormaly again.
