"You know so much about me than I know you, don't you think?",I asked her after I realized she even knows my age without me telling her.
Thanks to the guys as she has said.
"Eh, what was it that I know about you?" She asked .
Oh, they're plenty.
"My name, age, academics, family members..."
"E don do!" She interrupted,smiling .
"So which of these things you mentioned don't you know about me except, of course, my family members?" She completed.
"Just so you know, my dad's name is Adeshola Adetunde and mum's name is Nda Hawawu. She's Nupe while my Dad is Yoruba. They both live in Lagos." She paused and puffed a breath.
"So what about that?" She asked, resuming her former position of resting her chin on her hands.
"Oh, so you're not pure Yoruba", I stated.
" Yep".
" But you didn't say when I asked in class",I said.
" Eh ,there weren't too much people who spoke other languages than Yoruba,so I thought, why stress ?"she shrugged.
" Stress you or stress me?",I asked.
" Hm...both of us",she replied.
I didn't know how that would have stressed me , lol .
"I like the sound of that tho",I teased.
"What was that I said about you being a creep?"she asked , smiling.
It was until then that I heard the clouds rumbling and a lightening flash. Yomade screeched and recoiled in her seat, covering her head with her arms.
The clouds suddenly opened their mouth and poured out heavily. I didn't expect it to happen soon,it should have at least give more signs before it starts to rain.
How will I get my Queen home now?
Not that she can't stay the night tho.
"Ile-ife rain and spontaneity ehn", Yomade voiced out my thoughts.
"Exactly what I was thinking,it just started all of a sudden", I added.
" Hm... that's how it use to do oo", she sighed.
" And it's almost 7pm faa",she said.
"I can always drop you off, yunno?",i said just to confirm she had it in mind that there was no ordering Uber this time.
"Yeah,I know, thank you",she said and we made small talks about the climate and weather of ile-ife .
We moved on to amusement parks and she told me about many places, including her Zaj foods where she gets her favorite fast foods and I made a mental note to make a gesture soon.
If you know,you know.
"It has stopped raining already",she announced and I smiled cuz I knew that already.
I checked the time and saw it was fifteen minutes past seven,I knew it was time to go.
"Shall we?",I asked as she grabbed her purse and stuffed her things in it.
