Chapter 18

"I'm sorry i called you so out of blue" changbin pulled a seat for felix before sitting himself down

"Its okay i wasn't busy anyways" he reassured smiling

"I was just pretty busy the last few days didn't had the time to reach out, i did messaged a couple of times but I guess you were stuck in something..."

Felix looked up a guilt washing him over realising how he forgot to respond to the texts, he was about to speak up and apologize but changbing changed the topic by asking.

"How do you like this place?" He looked down for a split second before back at the boy

Felix processed the question before looking around taking over the beauty and calm vibe of the cafe, it was big but not too stuffed to cause him any discomfort something that he liked, soft brown painting wall giving it a classic look with warm lightning adding the comforting feels to the place. waiters running around and smiling whenever he made an eye contact by accident, love songs playing in the background that made it clear that it was specially for couples but felix didn't pay much attention to it. With a gentle little smile on his face he shifted his eyes at the rose vase infront of him as he nodded.

"I like it, it's pretty"

Finnally letting out the sigh of relief changbing said "I'm glad, i took time in picking the place" he smiled proudly

"And the desert here are a must try, I'll get some packed for minho or he'll go into fight mode again" he added

"Minho hyung?" Felix frowned at the sudden mention of his older brother

"Yes he was the one who told me about this place, he and jisung come here for their dates..." He looked down at his shoes whispering the last line

"Oh really? That's cute" he smiled 'that's cringe'

"You're more-" a ringing coming from changbins phone buzzing on the table cut him off as he checked to see who it was

"Uh excuse me for a moment, you can order whatever you like I'll be right back" he got up leaving the table to attend the call

Felix nodded watching him walk away before picking up the menu scaning for whatever that sounds good and in the end he chose the basic sweet coffee and a sprinkle cupcakes  but before he could find a waiter his phone made a notification sound catching his attention.

Expecting a text from jisung again asking if changbin is being a gentleman or not he opened the lockscreen when his eyes landed on a text that came from unknown number? Frowning he read "hi" who the hell? Putting it back down he ignored it thinking as it would've been a spam or wrong number but a curiousity kept making his eyes lurk  to the phone time to time and finnally letting out a sigh he gave in to his more like an impulsive nature picking up the phone.

'Who?'

Gulping down he stared at the screen wondering what reply would come from the unknown and in a matter of just seconds a ding made him flinch as he read the short massage and the bubble of his curiosity popped but felt more like bricks as he read it over and over again and still didn't belive his eyes....

'its hyunjin'

Time passed and felix stayed still on his chair the shaking on his right leg stopped and someone could've mistook him for statue and if it wasn't for the menu falling from his hand he really would've became one.

"Oh my..."

After realising that it was not some of his weird dream but actual reality that he had no choice but to face. He shook his head flipping the phone 
on the table taking a few seconds to regain the control over his beating like a drum in a rock concert heart.

While gently nibbling on his lower lip many thoughts swarmed around his head but the most important that kept his most attention was 'should i reply?' just thinking about it made his stomach feel like 5 frogs were jumping inside.

"Fuck it"

He replied without a single second thought 'hey' but immediately turned his head to left making another accidental eye contact with a waiter  who smiled and walked his way...

"God this is embarrassing"

A ding caught his attention but this time he didn't hesitated to just read it quickly and oh boy he regretted it 'i was wondering if you were okay'...

That was the least he expected to hear- i mean read and the frogs did a backflip now but he regained his cool or tried to as he replied 'i'm okay, something happened?'

It took a few seconds for another message to pop up 'i didn't saw you today'

Oh so it was because of that.. a relief and an unknown disappointment washed over him as he relaxed a bit. Well he did indeed skipped the practice today the reason being the sudden invitation from changbin that he had to accept after forgetting to reply to his messages.

'Something came over so i couldn't come, did I miss something?'

'no you didn't it was just the usual'

Then why? Felix was just about to question when- 'it just felt empty'...

Empty?? What did he mean by that? Him not being there made it feel it empty? As much he wanted to take the words casually a light rosy shade sprinkled over his cheeks feeling a thump in his chest

"Sorry it took long did you order something yet?" Changbin pulled the chair sitting down

And like an instict felix closed the phone smiling awkwardly "n-no i was waiting for you"

Changbing paused staring at him before the side of his lip curled up "waiting for me? So sweet"

"Yeah..." He tucked a few strands of hair behind his ear

"So what would you like?"

After what felt like an hour go by with them talking of mostly changbing sharing the little storys about his friends and work life of how he wanted to start a business of his own and felix encouraged him about it that made him blush and look away.

"Wait I'll pay-" felix got up but changbing already gave the waiter his card

"When you're with me don't worry about paying"he gave a slight wink to which felix almost rolled his eyes

"You don't have to you know"

"Nope i have a rule of paying if I'm the one making the plan, how about you think of the precious the you spent as the payment?"

He sighed jokingly "you're hard to convince"

"I'm not sorry~" he opened the door for felix to walk past

"Come I'll drop you off" changbin pointed at the black spotless car  infront

"Oh no it's okay I'll walk"

"Are you sure? I can totally drop you" he asked with a flicker of hope in his eyes to get a yes from the boy

"I appreciate it but I feel like walking" felix replied while feeling the fresh and perfect weather

Changbin nodded respecting his choice "be safe then and please text me when you get home" he stepped inside his car starting the engine as he waved at felix

"Bye" he waved back watching drive away

Letting out a sigh he pulled out his phone staring at the text again that he kept thinking about this whole time "how did he get my number?.."

Running a hand thru his dark hair he stood in silence the cold wind calming him down a little before he would walk away but a hand landed on his shoulder interrupting his peace making him flinch and shoot his neck to side in a instant only for his gaze to land on a tall figure right behind him, face close to his as he can feel the warm breath on his skin.

"You..." He barely let out the sound staring at him suprised

A little smile spread on his face as he tilted his head to get a better view of felix "you're taking too long to reply, felix..."

Apology for late update me and my boyfriend heeseung had a fight but we're good now ❤️
