Chapter 23

Walking down the busy street with many unknown faces pacing past them, some in hurry to just reach their destination while some just enjoying the cold evening breez with a relaxed expression like it was all they needed after their long tiring day but the two didn't gave no attention to anyone or anything, not the people rushing past them, not the ones who almost slam their shoulders against theirs, not the ones staring at them like it's thier job to do so, no nothing.. all their attention and focus was spent on holding each others hands as tightly that not even the pacing crowd or their stares can break them off.

Felix opened his mouth to release the air that was stuck in his throat like a sharp bone, confused whether it was from the hot waves or the unsettling feeling in his chest that also seemed to be related to the sweats that kept making its journey down his neck, but the cold evening wind proved his conclusions wrong, his eyes slowly trailed down to catch a glimpse of the two fitting like a puzzles pieces gripped like a little shift of motion will cause a whole destruction, he gulped down trying to remember how it came to this.

The earlier scene at the studio flashed through his head, how his hands tightened around hyunjins body almost molding itself in the safest shield known..his breath syncing with the others, rising and falling in a slow flow.. the sadness of those tears that kept dropping down on the floor, shrunk felix heart so small that he felt the discomfort thru his chest, hyunjins tears felt like daggers and he didn't even know why?...

His gaze went up to look at hyunjin, who looked ahead at the street with his normal poker face like it was normal.. nothing was weird or different about this..not the hug they shared that still kept felix mind questioning..not the holding of their hands.. everything was normal..right? Well not to felix, resulting that he had to make sure he was still keeping his breathing in a check.. just when he thought the awkwardness between them was beginning to fade..he started to make an effort to drift a bit away, stepping a little ahead to drop the signal..but little did he knew that his signal will fail to reach hyunjin when he felt the harsh pull back, slamming his back with the others chest with a suprised sound escaping his mouth.

"Why the rush? We're going in the same direction.. aren't we?"

Hyunjins warm breath landed on felix exposed neck, the silent whisper that only managed to reach his ears made him realise how close he was to him, a shiver ran down his whole body along with a gulp, the scent of dead wood  scattered with a lively unknown flower engulfed around felix, suffocating the breath out of him, before he can physically turn his head around to catch a look of the guy, hyunjin pulled on his hand, walking ahead making felix follow behind his footsteps with a dumbfounded face, the guy didn't even bother to look at him for once while continuing their walk like he didn't just almost snatch felix conscious with that sudden move.

Felix huffed silently at his ignorant behaviour, looking away he decided to just focus on something else..other than hyunjin, he pulled his phone out re-reading the text that his big brother sent him half an hour ago asking him to return back to their home since the whole gang of his friends decided to make his house a make shift club for their chit-chats as if a random bar or pub wasn't enough, he sighed shoving the phone back, biting his tongue down from spilling it all to their guardian.

Their footsteps slowly become more clear to hear and the many shoes and heels tapping on the road along with the loud honking sounds faded in the air, when suddenly he felt the other stopping, frowning he looked at hyunjin before ahead noticing they reached the destination, a dark shade of beige painted over walls yelling out the various kinds of music with not so good vocals, he sighed already being able to imagine the chaos happening inside.

"They're having fun i guess..lets go too-"

He turned to hyunjin who had his eyes already fixed on him with his usual lazy gaze, he gave a slight nod and felix continued walking on the concrete path leading to the main door that was almost half open being the reason why the music was easy to hear from a distance, he noticed the two unknown cars that stood outside, one dipped in a wine red shade and another completely black, both reflecting the moons shine on their obviously brand new looking visuals, he kind of had hard time taking his eyes of them but oddly enough one of them seemed a little too familiar to him.

Before his face could smack against the hard door, a wave of coldness gently caressed his warm hand like the soul soothing warmness holding onto him just parted away, his eyes narrowed to his side to find hyunjins hand layed on the door handle, he pulled on it slightly enough to create a gap to glide thru but for some reasons he didn't step ahead to cross the boundary that parted the chill giving cold of outside  and the comfort of the lively house, felix knitted his eyebrows at the action before a realisation washed over him, a pink tint spreading on his cheeks, he gently took in his already bitten lip under his teeth, he was uncertain yet flustered at the idea but not until hyunjin looked at him with that expression that said it all very clearly to him and felix didn't wait another second to embarrass himself more as he hurried inside whithout a look back.

He didn't make the effort to look ahead till he heard the door shutting behind him followed by hyunjins footsteps and the first thing his eyes caught was a group of very immature boys fooling around, one being the blonde haired that was trying to stop the pillow that was being pushed on his face by the brown haired named the seungmin who had a beyond pissed expression while he tried to suffocate the hell out of chan, beside them sitting a very ignorant jeongin with his focus on scrolling and on the other side sat a jisung so invested in the fight that he didn't even acknowledge his bestfriends presence, before his attention can go further around the room in search of his big brother, jeongin caught a sight of him and like a lamp catching a flame his face light up, he jumped down the couch running their way catching the attention of others too.

Felix expected it when the happy boy jumped in hyunjins arms who was already prepared to catch his weight, the boy grinned ears to ears like a happy fox seeing it's friend after so long, hyunjin couldn't help but let out a little chuckle that didn't fail to amuse felix at the softness in his voice, jeongin giggled happily waving his legs in the air before he hopped off and turned to felix who smiled at him but he totally didn't expected it when the boy threw his arms around him almost taking him by suprise, he shook his head hugging him back. Well a hug in a while is not so bad anyways.

"I've been waiting for so long!" He whined out, crossing his arms over his chest

"Work, sweetheart." Hyunjin ruffled his hair a bit before going to dap up chan

"Look who bothered to join, aren't you being a little too busy these days man?"

Hyunjin took a seat "not everyone is privileged enough to not finish what they take responsibility for."

Chan raised a brow clearly not that suprised by his reply "don't get all smart with me" he shifted a little to face him better "how's it going?"

Felix took off his shoes, changing into his slippers and before his tired being can catch a breath, his body was dragged by a force he didn't even have a second to recognise.

"Boy you'll give me a heartattack!"

He glared at jisung who only laughed at his reaction like it was supposed to be any funny.

"Chill baby, I just missed you~" he cooed but only got a frustrated look from felix

"Fine, i have something else that'll definitely make you smile" he smirked making his friend question what kind of witchcraft or dumb idea he came up this time

"Don't tell me it's another book on how to please a partner-"

"Hey felix!"

"There it is."
