Late at night, the Kabukicho District was quiet and solemn— (Y/N) walks through with an empty mind, finding her way to her house. The rain begins to fall as soon as she reaches home, and she softly sighs as she looks out the window, her house was quiet and dark— just like her.

The rain pelted hard against the window, its sound slowly lulling her to sleep. But her heart refused to forget— the scene that kept replaying since 6 hours ago. Like a broken record it plays in her mind, as if telling her never to forget it.

She had never seen it coming, she and Gintoki had gone through a lot— for all the years they've been together, since their days in Shoka Sonjuku.

"Can we get over it this time, Gintoki?...."

Tears she'd been holding back for so long finally down as her voice breaks,

"—Or is this how far our love gets us?"

Brown guilty eyes and little white lies
Yeah, I played dumb but I always knew
That you'd talk to her, maybe did even worse
I kept quiet so I could keep you

"Oh, Kagura-chan, Patsuan."

(Y/N) smiles, greeting the two as she enters the Yorozuya Household. She lays a bunch of pastries she bought at a bakery and looks around, "Gin's not around?"

"Gin-san went to Yoshiwara for a job, Hinowa-san and Tsukuyo-san called him earlier."

"Oh....I see," (Y/N) pauses, unnoticed by the two teen— She froze for a second when she heard Tsukuyo's name.

Maybe it was her insecurity, or maybe it was her intuition— But the moment she had heard of this Tsukuyo, her heart and mind would not rest. There was always fear residing in her, and hearing Tsukuyo's name always made that fear grow bigger and bigger.

"(Y/N)-nee, just wait here with us!" Kagura grins, the two were attached to her as they saw her like a mother figure— (Y/N) couldn't help but love the two as well.

"Alright, I have nothing going on for work today either." She smiles as she sits beside Kagura.

After a while, they hear the door slide open. Sadaharu's ears perked up, it was a sign that Gintoki had arrived— he was after all, Sadaharu's favorite chew toy.

But what (Y/N) noticed just as quick, was the sound of a woman's voice accompanying Gintoki.

"I said forget about it. Jeez, were you ever this clingy?" Gintoki groans, appearing in the living room dressed in his usual attire.

"Don't think I'm doing this because I want to! Hinowa just asked me to do it, alright?!" Tsukuyo says in a stern manner, but there was a faint smile that (Y/N) saw.

"Gin-chan, you're home! Look! (Y/N)-nee brought all these food for us!!"

Gintoki's eyes met (Y/N)'s, and she swore she saw a flick of surprise and guilt in those red eyes. But Gintoki was good at masking his emotions.

"Why'd you go through all these trouble?" Gintoki says, plopping down beside (Y/N), but she just stayed quiet.

"Oh...uh," Tsukuyo and (Y/N) glanced at each other, an awkward tension filling the air. She had heard of Tsukuyo for so long, but the two had never actually met.

'Yeah...She's definitely a woman of Gintoki's type. I can see it so clearly,' (Y/N) heaves a sigh as she looks away, feeling a heavy heart in her chest as insecurity fills her mind once more.

"(Y/N), this is Tsukuyo. You two haven't met yet, but basically she joined the anime in the Yoshiwara in Flames Arc."

(Y/N) gasps and opens her mouth to reprimand him, "Gintoki! Don't break the 4th wall—"
