As the night approached, the anticipation of the Slytherin party began to build in our dorm. I was sitting on my bed, staring at my clothes, trying to figure out what to wear, when Aiden suddenly spoke up, breaking the comfortable silence.

"So, how casual are we supposed to be for this?" he asked, glancing between me and Pansy, clearly unsure of the dress code for a Slytherin gathering.

Pansy looked up from her mirror, where she had been fixing her hair, and laughed. "Oh, be as casual as you want. But knowing the other boys, they'll probably still wear coats and stuff. I have no fucking idea why."

Aiden raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Then let's live up to the expectations, shall we?"

Pansy rolled her eyes with a grin and went back to her hair, while I started sifting through my clothes. After some deliberation, I decided to keep it simple—a pair of joggers and a tight-fitting crop top. Pansy, true to her laid-back style, threw on some jeans and an oversized t-shirt.

As we finished getting ready, I glanced over at Aiden, who had stepped into the bathroom to change. When he finally emerged, I couldn't help but stare. He had gone for a more polished look, wearing a well-fitted coat over a casual shirt, and it suited him perfectly. His brown hair, somehow effortlessly tousled, made him even more attractive, and his eyes were absolutely mesmerizing. I felt a small flutter in my chest as I took in the sight of him.

Pansy whistled, clearly impressed. "Well, look at you, living up to those Slytherin standards."

Aiden chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Had to make sure I didn't embarrass you two, right?"

I tried to play it cool, but inside, I couldn't help but feel a little flustered. "You look great," I said, my voice coming out more sincere than I intended.

He smiled, his eyes catching mine for just a moment longer than usual. "Thanks, Abs. You look great too."

I raised an eyebrow. "Abs?"

"Yeah," Aiden said with a grin. "I've decided to call you Abs. It suits you."

My heart skipped a beat. "Abs? whatever," I said, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks, while rolling her eyes

Pansy glanced between us, a knowing smirk on her face, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she grabbed her jacket and headed for the door. "Come on, you two. Let's go see what this party is all about."

As we made our way out of the dorm, I couldn't shake the feeling that tonight was going to be something special. Whether it was the thrill of finally being part of Slytherin, the mystery of the party, or just the way Aiden looked at me, I knew this night was one I wouldn't forget. And as we walked down the dimly lit corridors of Hogwarts, Aiden's playful nickname for me lingered in my mind, adding a touch of excitement to the evening ahead.
