As Abby approached the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, she was met by the Fat Lady's portrait. "Password?" the Fat Lady asked in a slightly bored tone.
Abby hesitated, realizing she didn't know the current password. Just as she was about to give up, she heard a familiar pair of voices from behind her.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Fred Weasley said, grinning as he and George came into view.
"Isn't it our favorite Slytherin?" George added, raising an eyebrow. "What brings you to our neck of the woods, Abby?"
Relieved to see friendly faces, Abby smiled. "I, uh, need to talk to Hermione, Harry, and Ron. It's a bit... complicated."
Fred exchanged a knowing look with George before turning back to Abby. "Complicated, huh? Sounds like there's a story there."
Abby sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and guilt. "Let's just say things have been a bit tense between us lately."
George smirked. "Ah, tension in the air. Must be that Slytherin charm at work."
Abby couldn't help but chuckle. "Something like that. Honestly, though, it's not just about House rivalry. There's been a lot going on with Mattheo and the others, and it's affecting everything."
So," George started as they walked further into the room, "how's life over in the snake pit? Getting along with the other Slytherins?"
Abby sighed, leaning against the back of a nearby chair. "It's... complicated. They're not as bad as everyone makes them out to be, you know?"
Fred raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? And what about Malfoy and his goons? Didn't know they had a softer side."
"Draco's... well, Draco is Draco," Abby admitted, rolling her eyes. "But he's not the worst of it. There are other people in Slytherin who are actually decent. Like Pansy, Mellony, Blaise, and... Aiden."
George grinned, nudging Fred with his elbow. "Ah, so there's a name in particular that stands out."
Abby blushed slightly. "It's not like that. Aiden's just... different. He's been there for me, especially after everything that's happened recently."
Fred's playful demeanor softened a bit. "You mean the mess with Mattheo and the others?"
Abby's eyes widened slightly. "Wait, how did you know about that?"
Fred and George exchanged knowing looks, then George spoke up, his grin widening. "We've got our ways, Abby. Word travels fast around here, especially when it involves certain Slytherins and Gryffindors."Fred leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. "Mattheo Riddle, huh? Heard a bit about him. Seems like he's causing quite a stir."
Abby looked at them curiously. "How did you guys hear about the situation with Mattheo?"
George shrugged with a mischievous grin. "Word travels fast, especially when you've got ears in all the right places."
Fred nodded in agreement. "And we happen to be very well-connected. Plus, we know how to pick up on the little details that others might miss."
Abby sighed, running a hand through her hair. "It's been a mess. Arguments, misunderstandings, and now I'm here trying to sort things out with my friends. Honestly, I could use a good distraction."
The twins exchanged another glance before George spoke up. "Distraction, you say?"
Fred's grin widened. "Well, Abby, you've come to the right place. If you're looking for some ideas to liven things up, we've got a few tricks up our sleeves."
