Chapter 10: Final Departures

Ren was holding his own against Minato as Makoto stood by Maki as she slashed her sword across Matsuyama's throat, they turned to help Minato in his fight as Ren was gaining the upper hand. Ren had the Reaper hit Minato with Ziodyne which shocked Minato sending him to the ground. Makoto's fatherly instincts went into overdrive as he harnessed all the powers within himself and summoned his most powerful personas together to attack Ren, Orpheus Telos, Thanatos, and Messiah all at once bombarded Ren with attacks. The Reaper couldn't handle the attack as it fell, Ren was stumbling back as Makoto threw a strong right hook into Ren's temple. As Ren was falling to the floor Makoto grabbed him by the collar and threw him into the floor face first. As Ren's face hit the floor Makoto lifted his foot and gave Ren one nasty curb stomp to finish him off. Minato was on the floor badly hurt as Maki rushed to his side and healed him.

"Thank you Maki, dad...? Are you alright?" Minato asked weakened. Makoto looked over and nodded his head as he picked up Minato and carried him out of the building. They walked past several bodies of Strega members. They continued down the hallways as Makoto tried his best to shield Minato's eyes from the more gruesome bodies strewn across the floors. Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Yukari were discussing with everyone about what was going to happen next.

"We're done, I am happy to say this to everyone but the Kirijo Group is finally finished with it's task of stopping shadow related incidents. We can finally end things once and for all." Everyone began to cheer as they celebrated their final victory over death and fear. Makoto, Yukari, Minato, and Maki all left to go home, Mitsuru saw to it that everyone else made it home safely and without incident. Makoto thought to himself as he walked along with his family in the dead of night, "It's been a very long and tough road. But I'm glad it's finally over." Makoto wrapped his arm around Yukari as the four of them walked home.

"In other news, a massive shootout occurred last night at the Nanjo tower. Security footage could not be recovered but from the looks of it dozens of cultists from the Cult of Strega were found dead along with several Nanjo Corps guards. The CEO of the Nanjo group was sadly also found dead in his office. No eye witnesses have been found for this tragic incident." The news reporter on the TV was talking about the incident that Makoto and SEES fought during the night. He figured that Mitsuru had a hand in the security footage being deleted. Yukari sat down on the couch with him as they shared a cup of tea and enjoyed their hard work finally being resolved.

Makoto heard a voice within his head that said something he never heard but Yukari and his friends had, "Congratulations, you have the miracle you sought" Makoto's eyes widened as he whispered, "Ryoji" Yukari didn't notice him say the name but she looked to him and smiled as they shared a kiss and changed the channel.

"You want me to be the CSO of the Kirijo Group?" Akihiko asked Mitsuru that same morning. Mitsuru had just asked him to be the Chief Security Officer. "I'll do it, it's the least I can do for my life long friend." Mitsuru thanked Akihiko for accepting the offer as they walked down the hall discussing everything that was next for them and the Group, Akihiko thought at first she meant the Kirijo Group but soon found she meant the now officially disbanded SEES.

Kotone and Shinjiro shared a vacation with their son to the glorious island of Yakushima where they would enjoy the beach resort owned by the Kirijo group and they tanned on the beach. They too had their own miracle that Makoto secretly gifted them. Shinjiro and Kotone had their own.

Junpei and Chidori settled down in Iwatodai nearby to where Yukari and Makoto lived they were raising their own kid. They now enjoyed their time alone and able to raise their kid without having to worry about any problems interfering with their lives anymore.

Fuuka decided to go with Aigis, Metis, and Labrys as they went off to figure out what they would do with their own lives now that they were free of the burden of fighting shadows and such enemies. Fuuka joined so that she could continue to repair and maintain them all, thanks to Makoto, Fuuka was able to find her inner strength to not fear her hobbies not fitting what she looks like.

Makoto pulled out his phone as he checked he received a text message from an unknown number. He opened his text app and checked the text he received and saw the message. "Thank you for being such a great character to write about. You can finally enjoy peace." Makoto didn't need to say anything cause he knew who the message was from. 

Makoto's life would forever be at peace, his family would flourish thanks to his many sacrifices and hardships. Maki and Kojiro would eventually get married and Makoto would walk her down the aisle. Then came a grandchild, then two. Minato would grow older and eventually find a girlfriend and Makoto along with Yukari would grow old just like the couple Makoto met back when he was just in high school. As time past and age caught up with everyone Makoto, Yukari, and Junpei in their late 70s would finally meet up one final time before their end.
