Makoto stepped out of his limo as the driver opened the door for him. As he walked towards the cemetery he and Yukari were standing out front reading the name of the building, "Iwatodai Cemetery." Makoto took Yukari's hand as they slowly made their way into the grounds. The walked along for a little while before they saw a tall elderly man just like them standing over several graves. "Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, Shinjiro Aragaki, Takeharu Kirijo, Chidori Yoshino." There was also a smaller grave with the name, "Koromaru, man's best friend" Makoto and Yukari walked closer to the tall man.
"Been quite some time Junpei, I'm glad you came to visit them." Makoto said with a raspy voice. Junpei kept silent as he smiled, remembering the good old days when they were first starting out fighting against the Dark Hour. Makoto put his hand on his shoulder giving his best friend a pat before setting down some flowers on everyone's gravestone. Yukari got down on her knees as she said her final goodbyes to her friends.
"Thank you Mitsuru, Akihiko, for showing me that I could be more." She stood up and she and Makoto walked back to their limo before being driven back to the Yuki mansion. Junpei continued to stare at his wife's grave. "Chidori..." He smiled one last time before turning back and walking home.
Makoto's life would too come to and end eventually, his spirit passing on and enjoying the afterlife along with the rest of his friends. Those he left behind would miss him, but they would also remember the joy he brought to them all as they too would eventually pass.
***And so our story comes to an end, for now. In the new world Makoto has made, peace reigned and no more blood would be spilled over the Fall. Thank you all so much for reading all the way through. This is truly the end of the series. Now on to either a prequel book for "The Answer" or just finishing WIP projects.***
