The sun was high, casting a warm glow over the sandy beach as the group spread out, each enjoying the day in their own way. The girls were huddled together, taking photos and laughing as they struck playful poses. Scarlett, camera in hand, was snapping pictures of Peyton and Tanya as they posed against the backdrop of the sparkling ocean.

On the other side of the beach, the boys were in the middle of a heated volleyball match. Xolo, glancing over during a break in the game, noticed Evan's gaze fixed on Scarlett. Evan's stare lingered a bit too long, a smirk playing on his lips as he watched her.

Xolo felt a flicker of irritation. "You going to play or just stand there drooling?" he called out, trying to keep his tone light but unable to hide the edge in his voice.

Evan tore his gaze away from Scarlett, a cocky grin spreading across his face. "Can't blame me for appreciating the view."

Xolo forced a smile, though it didn't reach his eyes. "Just focus on the game, man."

Evan's grin widened, sensing the underlying tension. "Sure, sure. Just don't get too worked up, Xolo. It's all fun and games, right?"

Jacob, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, quickly intervened. "Hey, how about we get the girls to join? Make it a real competition."

The suggestion was met with enthusiasm, and soon the girls were called over to join the game. Laughter filled the air as they divided into teams and the volleyball match resumed with renewed energy. Scarlett found herself partnered with Xolo, and despite the earlier tension, they quickly fell into an easy rhythm, their teamwork effortless.

After a few rounds, the boys decided it was time for some mischief. With grins and playful shouts, they each grabbed one of the girls, carrying them toward the ocean. Scarlett shrieked as Xolo scooped her up, his grip firm but careful. "Xolo, no!" she laughed, kicking her legs in a mock struggle.

"Oh, yes," he teased, and with a swift movement, he tossed her into the water. Scarlett surfaced, spluttering and laughing as the others joined her, splashing each other in a joyful, chaotic mess.

Xolo dove underwater, popping up beside Scarlett and motioning for her to climb onto his shoulders. She hesitated for a moment, then accepted, letting him hoist her up as they prepared for a game of chicken against Mary and Tanner.

The two girls locked eyes, determination flashing in their gazes. The match was brief but intense, with both teams struggling to unbalance the other. In the end, Scarlett and Mary simultaneously toppled off their partners' shoulders, sending a huge splash of water everywhere.

Everyone was laughing as they emerged from the water, dripping and exhilarated. The day passed in a blur of games, laughter, and sun-soaked fun until the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange.

That evening, the group gathered around a crackling campfire, the air filled with the scent of roasting marshmallows. They were wrapped in blankets and sweaters, their hair still damp from the ocean. The warmth of the fire was comforting, and the atmosphere was serene as they huddled together, enjoying the peacefulness of the night.

Jacob broke the silence, holding up his phone. "Guys, guess what? Isadora liked my photo of our trip."

The reaction was immediate. Tanya, Blake, and Peyton frowned in disgust, while Mary rolled her eyes. The others exchanged uncomfortable glances, the mention of Isadora Huxley casting a shadow over the previously lighthearted mood.

Scarlett, sensing the tension, asked cautiously, "What happened between you all and Isadora?"

The group exchanged uneasy looks, no one eager to start the conversation. Xolo shifted uncomfortably, his expression tight. Finally, Gianni spoke up, his voice careful. "Isadora was... different when we first met her. She was outgoing, seemed sweet, and she threw these huge parties. At first, it was cool—everyone wanted to be part of the scene."

He hesitated, glancing at Xolo before continuing. "It started with weed and alcohol, but then she introduced... other things. Harder shit. She was a bad influence, and it wasn't long before everything got out of control. Xolo and Isadora were seeing each other at the time, so..."

Mary quickly cut him off, finishing the story. "Isadora Huxley is a terrible person, that's all you need to know."

Scarlett's eyes flicked to Xolo, who looked troubled, lost in thought. She frowned, wondering what memories he was reliving. "That's... insane. I'm glad you guys separated yourselves from that," she said carefully, deciding not to pry any further.

The group fell into an uneasy silence, the only sounds coming from the crackle of the fire and the quiet rustle of marshmallows being roasted.
