Chapter 4: Man Down

Around the same time in The Ark facility, Portman and Goat reach the Genetics lab as they couldn't believe what they were seeing, it was more than a Genetics lab where they study animals, but they were also studying on different kinds of unidentified creatures as they could tell by the autopsy pictures on the walls and drawings of the unidentified creatures.

Portman and Goat were seeing this as Goat spoke. "What the fuck!"

They continue looking around the rooms and they see a bunch of different hearts in container jars, but they were all hooked on to several tubings and were beating on their own.

As they continued even further, they found an operating table with an unidentified creature on the table. It was showing its blood tissue and bones. It didn't have any eyes as it showed its brain with also sharp teeth.

As Portman turned around, he got scared by a bunch of animals; monkeys and dogs rattling and barking in their cages.

Meanwhile, Destroyer and the Kid were still in the hallway as they got done searching in a storage closet as The Kid asked. "Where the hell is everybody?"

As they search even further, Destroyer found something interesting as he called for the Kid. "Hey."

The Kid turned around and saw what looked like a scientist coat, but it was all torn up and had blood on it.

Around the same time, Goat marked Genetics as clear as he and Portman left to search another area.
Suddenly, they found another room to the north that was past Genetics. They enter as they see what looks like a large room with a hole in it and chains hanging from the top.

Portman was confused on what it was while Goat smirked as Portman asked. "What the hell is that?"

Goat lightly laughed as he asked as well. "You never did time, Portman?"

"What?"

Goat turned back to the hole as he answered. "This is a holding cell!"

"Bullshit! What makes you say that?" Portman asked again sarcastically as he kneeled down.

Goat turned to Portman and tempted Portman. "Touch it!"

Portman glanced at Goat for a second as he did when suddenly, the walls created an electric shock that shocked Portman.

That caused Portman to stand back up and he yell in pain as Goat stated. "'Cause the walls are electrified."

"You asshole!" Portman snarled at Goat as Goat lightly chuckled.

Suddenly, the two heard a voice calling to them. "Hello?"

Portman and Goat look at each as they go to the cellblock to check it out.

Portman and Goat reach the cellblock as they find a guy wearing a weather coat and reading glasses as Goat spoke. "Sir, R.R.T.S., we're here to help!"

"I don't believe it. Real humans," stated the guy as he got up from his cell bed as he walked over to the cell bar door and spoke. "Hello, humans."

"You been in this cell long?" Portman asked in confusion.

"Long enough. Are we the last ones alive?" The guy asked Portman and Goat.

"No, no, there's a few of us... we came here after the Umbrella Corporation sent a distress call." Goat explained to the guy.

"Oh... that's good news. I guess. Unless, of course, Dr. Carmack sent you." complimented the guy.

"Carmack? You know who Dr. Carmack is?" Goat asked the guy after mentioning Dr. Carmack.

"Who cares. Hopefully, he's somebody's dinner by now." explained the guy.
