The sun had already set by the time the boys arrived at their new home in Tokyo-a large, old-style Japanese house with sliding doors and a garden that looked like it had been plucked from a postcard. It wasn't until they stepped inside that they realized they weren't alone.
Standing in the living room were four girls, each of them equally surprised to see the newcomers. An awkward silence filled the air as they all stared at each other.
"Uh, hi," Mahin said, flashing his signature smile. "Looks like we'll be living together."
The girl closest to him, Anisha, looked up with wide eyes. She was cute, with soft features and a kind smile. "I-I'm Anisha," she stammered, still taken aback by the unexpected company. "Nice to meet you."
Mahiru, standing beside her, stepped forward confidently. She had a bright aura and an air of calm about her. "I'm Mahiru," she said, offering her hand to Saif, who shook it somewhat nervously. "We'll all be going to the same school, right? Let's help each other out."
Santo immediately scanned the room, his eyes landing on a girl who seemed as uninterested in the situation as he was. Jannat was super cute but simple, her eyes holding a certain warmth that made Santo's usual laziness fade away, if only for a moment.
Then there was Rahul, who had almost frozen in place when his gaze met that of Roja, a stunning girl with an air of elegance. She smiled at him gently, and Rahul could feel his heart race, unsure of how to react.
As the introductions continued, the boys couldn't help but exchange glances. This was not what they had expected. New country, new school, new house... and now, these girls. This year in Japan was shaping up to be far more exciting than they had ever imagined.
